Detailed Samsung Galaxy S22 launch timeline is here, unofficially

Hmm, seems the s22 will resemble the recent iPhones in build design. (The sides) The rear camera set up on the s22 ultra is better than and the s21 and s22 plus.

Seen a few of those too; 1299 would be only 50 more than the S21. Guess we will know for sure in a few weeks. Like they say, plan for the worse, hope for the best.
For me, give me 8gb/256gb for the same price as last year's comparable S21 12/256 and I will be very happy. I need the storage, not the RAM. I'm not a power user and won't have a bunch of apps open at the same time, and have lived on my Pixel's 4XL with 6gb of RAM for many years now.

Well, I completed a reservation. This is what happens when I can't sleep.
:(

I'm still leery about ordering until a few weeks after it has been launched and in the hands of actual users to see if there are any major problems. Looking at the Pixel 6 Pro (which was my first choice) too many having problems. Although this is just more of an upgrade to the S21 Ultra, with a squared off look and an place internally for an S-pen. So, less problems? Maybe?

You May Need To Wait 3 Months For Your Galaxy S22 Ultra

Not good news if this is an accurate article.

https://www.androidheadlines.com/2022/01/galaxy-s22-ultra-delay.html

If I cannot have it in my hands by end of March, I may just jump to another phone such as the OnePlus10 or something similar to the Ultra. Especially, for the price they are going to be asking.

Highly doubts this happens with any of the pre-orders. They delayed the launch about a month to make sure they had initial inventory.

This could become an issue for subsequent orders based on initial demand. I guess time will tell.

Hope so. Thinking of the cluster (*) that google had with the initial orders for the Pixel 6 Pros, I won't go through that again. I ordered twice and each order had deliver dates that changed constantly in the same day, and each order was cancelled. However, I do say, the looks of the bugs and problems with software updates and the signals, makes me think google did me a favor.

This is better than nothing. Perhaps when Samsung said earlier this year that there wasn't going to be a Note " this year". He was alluding to the fact that they are putting the Note on the S refresh cycle. Just please don't kill our Note.

I really don't understand this to be honest. I see so many people with the same attitudes, lamenting the demise of the "Note", even though the S22 Ultra is a defacto Note device.

I just don't get it. A Note is a Note despite the name change. You think people would be happy that there is another "Note", but no, people are miserable there isn't another "Note" device in name.

It's literally the best of both worlds. An actual Note device in an Ultra model. Heck, even the phone body is wider and squared off exactly like a Note. And the same 5000 mAh battery is kept despite the intrusion of the S pen.

I'll never understand this, what is wrong with people?

They increased the thickness from Note 20U 8.1mm to looks like 9.0mm , thick device.
Probably how they could get the S pen slot and 5000mah battery.

An extra 0.8mm thicker phone body. I'll take that anyday to get a new Note phone and 5000mAh battery.

And there are those of us who would have preferred they kept the S-Pen keep the phone the same as the S21 and moved on. However, if I like it, and from renders, I do, I'll just forget their is an S-pen inside. I like the squared off look.

I'll try the local Verizon store or head over to the actual Verizon owned store in Jackson WY. Only 40 miles and up and over the Teton Pass...really fun in the snow.
Best buy is too far away and in ID Falls is terrible for having product.

I will guess NO ONE will have it on display after the release per request from Samsung. (Doesn't mean if a person knows someone in a store they can't get an early look.)

Pre-orders the day after; shipping sometime late Feb.

I'll just go and pre-order (already reserved) than find someplace where I can view, read some of the early reviews and then decide to keep the order or cancel. They won't charge a card till it is ready to ship.
