I can't remember if it was the Storm or the Droid (pretty sure it was the storm)when it first came out, but verizon stores said they would hold for people and stuff, and when I went to the store 20 mins before it opened the line was like 50 people long and they were out of stock taking names to order online. Then when they ordered for delivery, there were so many orders that most didnt get theirs till a week or more later.

just hoping as this phone is so hyped up that the same thing doesn't happen, I am going to the store, and going to be ready for the old *611.

Edit:fyi i had held one, but that went out the window due to demand.

I can't officially upgrade until next Thursday, but I'm gonna check at the store tomorrow if they can bump that up for me a week. If not, I guess I'll just order it online next week.

TB is nowhere near popular as ipad2... sad thing but apple just have wider fan base than HTC..
although everywhere we look seems like everyone is crazed about TB, but I still don't think it's enough to have large sell out nation wide.. if your local store won't carry much, i bet you won't have much problem just ordering online..

I tried pushing them from June... it was too far away. I got them once to move me up a month but four months was too much... gotta go full retail on this one.

My local VZW retailer (not corp store ) called me and said he had them coming in Thursday and would hold one for a 100$ down payment. I paid up and he said i was #1 on the list...I hope i didnt make a mistake here and that they deliver! Thought it would be better than just waiting on line at the corporate store Thursday...

I don't know yet...I'm torn. I could order it from Wirefly and wait a day and a half before I can touch it because I am having surgery Friday OR I could go to BBY and use the $95 I have in RZ dollars to purchase it bringing it down to about $165 after tax plus I get more points on my acct. I just don't know. I had decided not to think about this phone and now I'm faced with all these dilemmas

Oh and I just got this email sent to me from my bosses' bosses boss and me copied for some reason:

I will need to take your time Thursday morning for a few hours as with all these storms I fear I may get hit by a Thunderbolt @ 10am tomorrow.

Seriously, I will be out for the morning but I will be back online in the afternoon. Call my cell if you need anything.

I have my appointment set up at MY VZW Corp store for 9:00am. Just to be safe I will be there by at least 8:00 just to make sure I can jump in line if need be just to be safe.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that VZW doesn't decide to launch all out media blitz today and waits till next week for that.

My Seidio order shipped yesterday keeping my fingers crossed it will be here tomorrow, Friday at latest.

I asked and they said they must hold it for at least a couple of weeks. Right now, the biggest concern I have is the possibility their drop shipment is not enough to cover the preorders. In that case, since I can't get to BB until the tomorrow evening, they only got enough phones to cover some of the preorders, and those customers got there before I was able to.

Talked to my local VZW store and they said I can come in that morning, purchase my two TBolts, and then I have 30 days to activate the phones. Of course it won't take me that long becasue I will go back after work and get them activated. That is my plan.

I'm stopping by the BJ's Verizon kiosk. They will honor my NE2 and they will have them in stock an hour earlier than the stores

I might pick up some pickles while I'm there, too.
