Not that I know of. Other than the protection film on it when you take it out of the box, there is nothing on the screen. If you want more smoothness, try Invisible Shield Glass. I love it.

The display should be the same as the M8. I had 0 issues with the Glass but remember the glass feels better after a few wipe downs or uses. The film leave a slight residue that wears away.

+1 on Zagg Glass.

weird if it feels the same then i must still have the dumb film cover or something because if i swipe with my finger it leaves a mark unlike the m8 , i washed my hands too, weird it must be the film. ugh .

It should wear away. Try wiping the glass with a clothe for 30 seconds and see if it gets any better.

I had the invisible shield original put on because of the added grip it provides; always put on all my phones. The sales guy told me about the "glass" however at $39 I simply want gonna bite. He did say it help prevent screen shatter....

One advantage of Tempered Glass is that its "supposed" to help absorb some impact. I can't confirm this but I've heard it many times.

I use "Wet and Dry" Screen Wipes from Amazon. Just touch the wet cloth to the screen and then wipe with the dry cloth. Its meant to clean LCD TV's and Monitors. I use it for my Kindles as well but only every couple of months and only if it needs it. I use it on my car's dashboard display as well.
