The global ruu

Correction: I don't know if this ruu wipes because I did a FDR beforehand. I have.had no issues with the browser but 4g goes out once in a while. It also.did.this with every other ruu for me. Just as a note, we just got 4g here so may have.something to do with why it disappears sometimes.

Verizon probably hasn't finished deploying LTE over there.. they often go back and do expansions later on. Happened in my area twice so far.

Concerning the stock browser, did you try my examples and find that you could not reproduce the issues? If you didn't see any weirdness like I described, then I just need to reflash. Thank you kindly for your help btw.

I could not create the issue you are describing. I did flash the ruu twice anyway. No issues other than the occasional flip back to 3g...no drops though.

Okie dokie.. looks like I just need to factory reset and flash twice. (I only flashed once, so I'm thinking that could be it.)

Thanks again - very much appreciated. :)

No joy. Problem is still present.. I'm guessing my examples were not tested as listed above or perhaps we have different hardware versions. Oh well.. no biggie. Hopefully the next leak solves the issue.

Just got off work and gave it a try...logging in

Just tried logging in a couple sites and facebook as well and no issues of that sort.

Any time. :)

Anyone have anything on my above post concerning the stock browser?

I have the java script issue on .12. My example was NWS radar maps will not display the data until you touch the map. I have JavaScript to be always on under the browser settings and it still functions as on demand. No keyboard issues.

I tried bgr and autoblog and I did not experience your issues with either site.

These issues are just one more reason to switch to a different browser, have you tried Chrome, Maxthon, FireFox, or Dolphin?

I installed the update this afternoon and I'm wondering what the new signal info means. Does it mean it's VOLTE?

Thanks for testing guys -- I really do appreciate it. Based on your feedback, I'm thinking it could be just some oddity with my specific phone.

After flashing the RUU twice in a row, I let the phone boot and then give the ROM time to settle. I do the usual setup and then, without installing any apps, and without performing any restores via MyBackup Pro, the phone still has the JavaScript issues. Didn't happen on any of the previous leaks, so I'm hoping the next RUU fixes it.

Oh well.. them's the breaks. Thankfully everything else works awesome. For now, Chrome is a pretty good workaround (no JavaScript issues there) so I'll be using that any time the stock browser wants to be difficult. :)

Kinda off topic, but no it doesn't. The Rezound is capable of VoLTE, but to my knowledge Verizon has not deployed it anywhere in there network to the general public.

RSRP and RSRQ are simply indicators of signal strength and quality.

Ok I just downloaded it here at work so I will flash it right when I get home

So your on the new .2 RUU and I'm on the .12 RUU with JavaScript issues. Sounds like the new release doesn't address the browser. I played with chrome but it has issues with flash if I remember right.

Try Maxthon, Dolphin, FireFox, or any other number of apps that support Flash and properly functioning JavaScript, they have much better features anyway.

plug in the phone to the computer, windows will pop up. just move the file to the second window and not into any folders,

Doing a dirty flash now, let you know in a few if it deletes data and the what not

What do they mean by placing the renamed file onto the root of the sd card

Rename the file to just "PH98IMG.zip" (no quotes), then copy it to /sdcard/ext_sd/ if you are doing directly on the phone, or to the second drive that pops up if you are doing it from a PC.
