The "Help! How do I..." Thread

Is it possible to change the SMS notification sound for only one contact? I know how to change ringtones for an individual contact, but can't figure out how to do it for a text.

Yes, load Handcent and once you are in a conversation with someone, on that screen click the personalize button on the top right and select notifications. Select a notification sound there and you can even set a special icon notification that is specific to that person. Works great for me.

What is the preferred method or best way to resize pics to display in forums?

Find an Image Hosting site. I like Imageshack..us. Then just use the options for resizing images for forums. Be careful with using Imageshack on a PC though... it's filled with adware. I use it from a Mac. There are other image hosting sites out there though.

Here's a question... When using the Adobe Reader app. there a a bunch of files in there I'd simply like to delete, but it seems like it's impossible. Is there a way?

Also....how do I access my SD card to see what's on there?

Thanks in advance

You should get yourself a file manager app such as Astro - this will help with both issues. :)

Here is my silly question of the day. While using FM radio or music (media player), how do I keep the notifications (phone/email/sms/etc) from chiming in?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure my DroidX had the option to disable notifications during video playback... Not sure about music. I don't see these options for the Thunderbolt.... You would have to put the phone in airplane mode.. unless someone knows a better way.

turning off 4G

Ok, one last question for the day.

What is the path to turn off 4G?

Thanks
