The Huawei Mate 10 looks nice...

...I'm not sure about it being enough of a jump as a user of the Mate 9.

Great looking device and I'm sure the cameras will be a hit if the software is fine tuned properly.
Wishing EMUI would have seen improvement with this release however.
EMUI 4.1 had some really great animation features and other simple items that went away with 5.0

Waiting to see this phone in the hands of users before deciding.
I'm also waiting patiently for Huawei/Honor to make good on their promise to update regularly.

Hope the US price for the pro comes in lower than the estimated $924.00 USD.
The price tag is much too high to pay for any phone that falls off the support wagon too soon.

Agreed, not a huge jump from the mate 9 and that is definitely a high price for the US. You're average person is not going to choose this over a Samsung or apple phone here in the states.

As someone who's always dismissed the DxO Mark and always sneered at fans of phones who suddenly think the score is important when it comes to their own preference..... I now feel like one of those people myself

Just glossing over the scores... They did very comparable to other flagships. That's a big improvement over last year.

Not a real follower of DXO actually.
Just noted this as an article that popped up on the Google app.

I've never trusted the DXO ratings for camera lenses frankly.
That's an outside topic however.

Hard to justify any phone at this price range. But the Mate 10 Pro does look good tho. The only huge jump is indeed the price and the look of it. it's a beautiful phone

Personally I really hope that they have sales soon... Like the tmobile Note 8 was $620 just a few days ago.

I've bought the the Mate 10 and one area that it fails, imo, is the glass back. It sucks. The glass is way too slippery for my comfort but luckily it does come with an extra complimentary see through nonslip back cover. I wish they made the back with the same nonslip material as the Mate 9.

Unfortunately most manufacturers are moving towards glass back for their premium phones.

I really thought they made the move to glass back to put wireless charging in there. sadly they didnt have it
