sounds like there are a multitude or quirks and complains and full-on serious issues out there with fellow early adopters so i wanted to start a thread for those who are happy with their purchase. count me among them. the battery life isn't great but mine has been better than expected. i also forsee it getting better once the battery isn't brand spanking new and once some updates start rolling in. planning on rooting it at some point but holding out for a while. i think the screen is lovely and the form factor is perfect for me. my case and screen protectors are on their way so i am babying this puppy like nobody's business.

I am super happy, just want to figure out, how to stop blockbuster from auto update. Might be getting the seido online 1600 mah battery that dosent need a extended door.

Count me in. This phone is awesoem piece of work. Has it quirks, but all android do.. Half the fun of not being so restrictive.. like others.

I completely agree, I am so glad I got this phone, the thing that worries me still is the battery, but I have a car charger and can charge it while at home, so well see, worst comes to worse, I but a bigger battery. oh well.

I've seen forums get way more outraged than what you see here. For the majority this is there first Android experience and for others this is their first HTC headset experience. Once you familiarize yourself with the device, learn ways to extend the battery life, and also understand with all this fancy equipment they put in phones today its going to be hard to get a full days use out of any phone things will be okay.

But again. IMO, the response to seems to be more positive then negative with the reception of the Thunderbolt.

Very happy, as my old phone was an Env3, though that's not to say the thunderbolt doesn't kick the Droid X and Evo's ass that my friends have O:-).

I went through a HUGE tweaking guide to get the battery working and now it lasts a whole work day and more (about 10 hours) without dying and heavy angry bird/browsing usage.

Now, since I fixed the battery, I haven't found anything wrong with the phone. 4G + Youtube + kickstand + huge speaker = WEEEEEEEEEEE.

Hello all I was in battery hell but I am a forner iphone user and because of that I did not know how to properly close apps on this phone, therefore after charging my phone and taking it off the charger Im thinking all is well, I went to bed woke up and phone was dead, of course panic and rage set in because IM thinking my phone/battery may be defected, but after all the great advice and help that I got here, I realized it was my lack of knowledge so I'm grabbing any and all battery advice I can get. It been over two hours since I got a full charge and it still look like its at 100% so my fingers are crossed :).... I love this phone just get so frustrated.

I love this phone! Huge upgrade from my rooted Eris. I'm extremely happy with my purchase. The battery life is actually pretty similar to my Eris, which isn't great, but its not as bad as everyone is saying. The 1st day (thurs), yes. It was bad. But I charged it before I went out last night and was taking pics and videos, texting, using the phone, on the web, youtube, FB. Everything I would normally do with my phone, and battery was at 63% at 3AM. Big improvement from the previous day and will only get better with root. My only other gripe is the lack of video-chat capabilities. Can't seem to find one that works reliably. This was kind of a selling point for me. Hurry up Skype!! Aside from that, I haven't found any other issues. It's FAST, smooth, and everything just works! Form factor and screen are beautiful. LOVE this phone!!

Well I LOVE MINE BIG TIME !!!! Especially coming from BB Storm1 . I only have one problem is that the 32gb SD card that came with it is defective and I called VZ warranty about replacing it and they said I have to go to a store and get it replaced:mad: !???? Not that easy living on an island since there is no Verizon stores here locally I have to go the mainland and change it out .... Thank god I kept my old 8gb card from storm slipped it in and low and behold it works !!! But i want my 32gb card replaced . But all in all the phone is leaps and bounds ahead of my old phone !!!:D

The Sense UI is much better than the Motorola Philblur on the Droid X.
I feel like I am almost starting over with a brand new O/S.
I am a heavy user. I listen to podcasts all day so my battery is kaput after 10 hours (charging it during breaks and lunch). As with my Dinc and X I have a spare battery on a desk charger and drop that in just before leaving work. Good for the rest of the day.

I'm happy three days in. I've had Android and HTC before, so I knew the experience would not be as sterile as the iphone. To me the Tbolt is the perfect form-factor. The 16x9 screens on the Droid line are just too narrow and the iPhone is overall too small. I like the size and heft of the phone. It's plenty fast and the user interface is crisp. Apps are solid (though I wish Angry Birds had a non-ad version...yuck...). For me, a non "power" user, the battey life is fine. Of course, I was able to use an Incredible just fine, so this is a battery boon...

With that said, there are few litte quirks that are a bit irritating so I won't be putting my iPhone 4 on ebay just yet...leaning that way, but I'll need to use the phone another week to know.
