the I AM HAPPY WITH MY THUNDERBOLT thread

Yeah I've been really enjoying this thing. All I've ever had are HTC Android devices so I am used to battery issues and it's not as bad as I was afraid it might be.

It's been a really nice upgrade for me from my Nexus One. The Nexus One had an inherent screen bug where it could not accept multiple gestures at the same time and I've really noticed the difference when typing and playing games like Gun Bros. Screen is very nice..not AMOLED nice but I think it gets real close.

I LOVE the speaker...very loud and clear for me. It's a really big device tho...a little hard to pocket, but it's nice as a turn bu turn device in the dock.

Call quality has been EXCELLENT!

Overall, I'm very happy with T-Bolt and my new network, Verizon.

Loving mine so far. I have not had too much time to play with it yet. I'm coming from an OG Droid. TB is just sooooo fast, especially over the 4G (I'm lucky to work and live in an area with coverage). Battery is not great, but about what I expected. I will eventually get an extended one I think. The only downside I have seen or far is my Google account is not linked with Picasa and thus I can't browse my Picasa web albums. If anyone knows of a fix for that I would love to hear it. I originally was going to wait for the Bionic, but after I saw this I just could not wait. Very, very happy with my purchase. :D

I'm seriously in love with it. It's probably the greatest $250 I've ever spent on any type of technology.

The ONLY complaint I have is the locked bootloader, but I'll get over it as long as I can still get rid of the stupid bloatware. Blockbuster won't even be in business after another year or two, why do they need an app? And I hate golf; don't force it on me! Lol

But I love the UI, it's as smooth as the iPhone but with a MUCH bigger screen.

Oh one more complaint: I can't see the sexiness of the device when my case is on it. Very disappointing, imo. :-\

I have been more than very happy with my Incredible purchased on launch last April. Had no intention of upgrading, although I had a NE2 available. Made the "mistake" of visiting my friendly VZW store just to "play" after reading all the posts the last month or so. It took me about 30 seconds and a couple of web browsings to realize as Incredible as the Incredible is the TB is a major upgrade. After a full charge I spent about 15 minutes restoring my stuff from a My ProBackup which did an unbelievable making my TB screens and settings look exactly like the Incredible ones I had painstakingly created over the last year. Made my first call to one of my sons who immediately said "did you get a new phone?" I had already realized the quality was louder and crisper on my end, now I had unsolicited confirmation. Gave the speaker a whirl and was totally blown away. Ran the battery all the way down and put on charger for the night. Did the requisite "bump" in the morning. After reading all the battery negativity I have come to the conclusion that most of the problems are with newbies who won't read manuals or try to understand how every setting can effect the battery life or total "geeks" whose life pleasures revolve around finding fault with every new device that hits the street. As i write this post i have been unplugged for 7.5 hours. I have sent 15 or 20 texts, 21 emails, browsed the web for at least a cumulative 1.5 hours, taken half a dozen pictures and spent 22 minutes on phone calls. My battery indicator shows 42% remaining. I should easily get 10+ hours which is all anybody should expect from a smartphone with this size screen and 4G. The TB is a keeper!

coming from an iphone 3g, im loving this phone. tho im getting used to turning wifi off an location when not needed to preserve battery. my battery makes it thru work still with 50-70% left. good enough for me. phone size is perfect for me. still finding new things that im fallin in love with. an with skype coming, an hopefully netflix or htc sense .com will work later. those would just put this over the top

From my ENV Touch this is a HUGE upgrade. I am happy with the phone. Since I am new to Android, it is a bit of a learning adjustment, so I am not sure what is "normal" and what is a problem.

They have tens of thousands of "testers" using this phone very heavily now, so I am sure there are going to be issues. But most of them should be corrected soon with some OTA updates (to the phone's SW or the associated Apps).

this is my first smartphone, and aside from being quite intimidated by all i don't understand (including FAQ's on here that use teriminology that i just am not yet familiar with!), i am happy with it...

my wife likes to steal it, too...

So far so good, battery not bad and this is like an upgrade from a vw bug to a passat I had a storm 1 before this

Mine Is Great

This is my first Android and I love it. So much more I can do with it than I could do with my BB.

It is a learning curve that I am enjoying very much. The battery went real fast the first day. Now 2 days later it is doing a lot better

my 2750 charged for hours and hours...and never got higher than 99%.
It most definitely is a fatty daddy but it does what it should.

I absolutely love this phone. Hands down the best handset I've owned. My first Android handset and I'm glad I made the switch. Now I get why the iPhone folks give the "I don't know how I lived without this" response. I'm one who loooves customization and the possibilities seem endless with this handset.

Battery. I just chalk that up to varying technologies not progressing at the same rate. Smartphones that use this much data and pack this much power are gonna use a lot of juice. Eventually the batteries will catch up, but for now I'll just make sure I have the car charger and travel charger and spare battery handy :)

Love it! Wouldn't trade this tank in for anything right now. Still trying to get the battery drain under control but i'll figure it out eventually. I think most of it is caused by not being able to put this puppy down. I have come to accept that it will never be able to run 2 to 3 days on a single charge like my Storm did.
