the I AM HAPPY WITH MY THUNDERBOLT thread

I am 100% happy, it's a little big, but I knew that going in, I think 4 inch is the sweetspot (new Inc S), but that is not 4g. Battery life has improved greatly over the past three days. Screen is great, can't tell a big difference from my Incredible, I thought they were both great. 4g is fast as hell. Love the kickstand. It's like a bigger, better incredible. I do miss the optical mouse though. What's even better, on a one year contract, I am eligible for an upgrade 1/17/12. So, I get to sit back, enjoy the T-Bolt, and wait for things to settle in with dual core, and upgrade right after Christmas. Imagine what will be out by then!

Just pulled 24 down 4 up in Memphis and its not even supposed to have 4G yet. So yeah, pretty happy with the phone and VZW lol. This is such a ridiculous step up from ATT who promised 3g was coming in 4 months again and again for the last 3 years.

I am very happy with this phone as well. This is the first phone I ever had that I can finally use despite my deafness to talk with other people. I installed Z4 Mobile from ZVRS, a company that provides video relay services using live sign language interpreters, cameras, and streaming video between the ThunderBolt's FFC and ZVRS. Despite the fact that the app is listed as working with a select few phones (including the EVO 4G), it works like a charm! Just gotta make sure I am either in a 3G area with 2 or more signal bars, 4G LTE, or decent WiFi.

Hmmm coming from a crapberry storm 1, I don't know how I COULDN'T enjoy this beast! I could not be happier.

Two days ago I had the chance to fondle a TB. While chatting with the BB salesman he whips out his personal TB. He has lots of love for the phone and was getting amazing battery life.

Just wish I could believe a salesman.

if your on verizon, an u want a phone now, its a no brainer. as for amazing battery life, i cant complain about battery life. i dont have any issues with it. but i no some very heavy usuers go thru battery in under 6 hours, while at work i use mine just to text an calls, maybe angry birds an browse on lunch break. an the lowest iv seen after 8 hour work day was 50%. sooo depending on ur use battery life is good or bad.

iv also heard complaints on atrix battery life. it has a 1950mah battery. so i think its about the person an how the phone is setup. my 2 cents

I went out with one of my friends last night who had been teasing me about all the delays (he kept saying it was so delayed the thunderbolt 2 would be out before it). He has an Evo shift on sprint, and I kept wanting to compare network speeds, but he kept refusing. He finally admitted that he had been checking everywhere we had been (about a 45 minute total drive if done continuously), and not once had been able to get "4G" service, while I had not once lost mine.

Better yet, I had my phone at 100% brightness with live wallpaper (so my buddy could get the full experience while playing with it), forgot to turn wifi off when I left my house, and forgot to plug it back in when I came back and went to sleep. The end result when I woke up and checked the battery: 11 hours uncharged (the vast majority in standby), around 80% battery remaining.

My friend is now insanely jealous of both the phone and the network, so I think this counts as both a win for Verizon and HTC.

I absolutely love my Bolt. its a big step up from the OG Droid I did have and think it looks and feels better than my wife's Droid X. Learn how to setup/configure your phone properly and the battery life will not be a problem. Just waiting for some better cases to be released for it. I have a silicone skin that isn't at all snug and is always slipping off, but that is no fault of the phone. Just wish Skype would get in gear and get their video chat app working on this phone. Once that is in place, I won't have any complaints.

just would say I have been lucky with thunderbolt ,have not hade no majer problems, live in a 4g area, work in a 4g area,I am loveing It

I made the switch from a Dinc. That was a good phone, but I am glad I move to the Bolt. I have enjoyed this phone from day one.

I am coming to the Thunderbolt from a Fascinate. I could not be happier with my choice, even living in an only 3g area.

tech forums are mostly for problem solving and complaints...but one like this is always welcome in my mind to off set those.

my Sig says it all :-*

I am super happy, just want to figure out, how to stop blockbuster from auto update. Might be getting the seido online 1600 mah battery that dosent need a extended door.

You can turn off the BB auto up dates and save battery power. You can also save money by NOT buying the Seidio 1600 battery it is actually only 1305mAh!!! It does not last as long as the OM battery - I know because I bought one AND because there is a site that lists the ACTUAL power sizes of batteries.

The Seidio battery works fine, I use it as a second battery (I swap out batteries every afternoon)

There is no OM sized after market battery for the TB that will give you longer power than the OM battery. If you want extended battery life - buy a REAL extended battery, the double size ones.
