I don't know whether I'm lucky that it managed to last me for over two years or unlucky because that means it's not in warranty anymore.

My G4 lasted for 2.4 years, just short of the ATT free trade-in limit. I paid off the remaining month and got an LG V30, which I am very happy with.

Knowing that my G4 could die at any moment got me into some very religious backup routines, which I still use.

If you want to stay with the G4, check with LG about getting a fix. Originally LG was fixing/replacing all G4 phones regardless of warranty status.
