The LG G4....I LOVE IT!

I still love using QuickMemo. I just can't get the hang of the power and volume down buttons.
Yeah it takes getting used to. But it's far easier than the samsung gesture method where you can end up moving away from the page you want to capture.

Here you just put the tip of your index finger on the power button and rest the pad on the volume down part.

No matter what I do it just turns the volume down. Is it possible that there is some way to disable taking screenshots this way and it is disabled on my phone?

I'm not sure if you can do that. Maybe there's an alternative app or something.

Just wanted to give a little update. A month down the line on the v10c software. Still no lag, screen still looks amazing and overall experience is still really good.

I do find myself on the phone a lot more than other phones I've had as it's such a pleasure to use (laptop, ipad and iphone hardly get touched these days). For that reason the battery does appear to drain quite quickly, but I'm sure it's just because it's getting a LOT of screen on time. 2% drain since I picked up the phone 15 minutes ago, guess that's not too bad.

The only other small issue is with knock on, as it still doesn't always wake up, probably works 70% of the time. Not a huge problem but worked flawlessly on the G3, so a fix would be nice.

Still very pleased with my purchase though and would recommend to a friend any day.

I've had the G4 for about a month now, and must say, this is the best phone that I have owned. Very smooth, no lag, screen is awesome, as well as the camera. I know a lot of people seem to like pure android, but I love the spin LG puts on it. All the little extras seem to make the operating system so much more intuitive than a pure android phone. (Last phone was a 2014 moto x)
A few posts back, someone mentioned that his LTE seems stronger. My signal strength is in line with the Moto X, (wife still has hers and I have compared) and Moto's are known for their strong radios.
Another reason I chose the G4, is that a site compared signal strengths with the G4, S6, and a huawei phone. Now the Huawei phone won, but the G4 held its own, and blew the S6 out of the water in holding a call, and LTE signal strength.
Best for LTE: Galaxy S6, Huawei P8, LG G4 - AndroidAuthority

Hi Everyone,

I've had my G4 for 3 days now and I absolutely love it.

I previously had a Samsung Galaxy S2 that I had since launch day, it has been an amazing phone. I was always going to upgrade to another 'S' phone but the S3, S4 and even the S5 didn't do anything for me. After playing with and reading reviews on the S6 and wanting a phone to take good pictures, I decided on the G4.

I'm in the UK and bought a brand new sim-free version so I can swap about networks if I need to.

I love everything about the G4, the screen is pure beauty and the camera is amazing. I've been getting good battery life from mine, I've been using it a lot over the past 3 days, setting it up, getting things how I like them and I notice with a bigger screen, no lag and how everything is so quick, I really enjoy using it.

I've taken some beautiful photos already.

I also but a Ringke Case, Aukey QC 2.0 Charger for the home AND one for the car. QC is working well for me, charges from empty to full in a little over 1 hour. Can't fault it.

Knock Code screen lock seems temperamental, I think it doesn't register once in every 3 or 4 unlocks.

Hi!
I have a G4 bought 6months ago And i just droped it from a chair standing up easy on the floor And the glass broke half of the display, took 160$ to repair but i like that phone.
It's the best phone i have had coming from a Samsung S4 before wich i liked also a lot.
Right After that disaster , i took a protection case And we're good so far!

Yeah, I'm really happy with mine as well, though the software started to act up a little. It's kinda as if Android were like Windows 95.. just needs a clean install every now and then. Also I'm scared about the mobo issues, but.. so far so good.

haaaa good analogy there dsip. I do love this phone I must say. If they could just upgrade it with an 820 processor, Nougat, and 2 more gb ram......id be pretty happy for a long time. My fav android phone so far.

No lag for me (Canadian h812) but some US carrier phones have been reported to have lag; it seems like the "debloater tool" has helped there.

I'm fine with the heat; it gets hotter than my old note2, but it's livable.

Can I assume you have to have root to use the "debloater tool" and can you lead me to it please. thank you

This is my 5th LG G4 because the previous four all had software problems; the most common being this "screen overlay" issue which prevents using important and not so important apps. I'm ready to throw this model smartphone (that's a laugh) against a brick wall and the LG company support was not only rude but very knowledgeable in this area. I'm sick to death of this piece of crap... Ugh!!!

...the most common being this "screen overlay" issue which prevents using important and not so important apps.

This is an OS issue, not specific to the G4. It started popping up with the Marshmallow updates, and there's screen overlay threads all over these forums. Even the Note 7 already has a thread about it.

Basically when you try to first run an app that gives this warning, you need to turn off any app using overlays ("dimming" apps like Lux and Screen Filter are the most common culprits). Then run the needed app and approve whatever permission it asks for. After that you should be able to use it with the overlays on with no problem.

Yes, Lux has an option to turn off their screen overlay to prevent this issue. It's definitely an OS issue, nothing to do with LG.
