The LG G4....I LOVE IT!

I felt a little foolish but I paid a lot $30+ for the Voia on Amazon. They have many colours but I got the black one. It is two piece. With aluminum on the outside and tpu on the inside. The aluminum edge is the piece that is coloured. So on black it is a deep slate grey.

It is actually licensed as oem for lg and made in Korea.

It was important to me to leave the leather and curves exposed to show off the design of this phone. But unprotected I felt the bezels were too vulnerable. Anything listed as bumper on eBay and Amazon except maybe one or two seemed to be hybrid bumpers so with clear backs instead of open.

Nice! http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU4653878 Unfortunately, it's not available via amazon.ca (Canada), but I may be able to get one off of ebay. My wife will likely be getting the G4 as well, and she wants the leather back. This bumper seems like a good way to see/feel the leather and still be protected.

Just downloading an update now, 334mb, looks like a big one! Bit reluctant to install as the phone is working fine.

I'm on Vodafone in the UK, but the phone is the sim free international variant.

Got it from Hong Kong, so much cheaper than buying it here.

Edit: it's the H815

Just realised it's currently on V10b-TWN-XX. Is that quite an old version?

I needed an upgrade from my Galaxy S4. My choices were the LG and Sam S6, Note 5 - which has monster specs but no memory slot so I went with LG.

The design is very ergonomic and the leather back feels and looks great. I'm contemplating on getting a plastic back cover tho since it's slimmer. We'll see.

So far my only issue was I was getting random popups of ads. But it looks to be 90% solved with an ad blocker and uninstall of a music app.

Otherwise my experience has been excellent. The UI is unobtrusive, natural, customizable. I can execute functions with one less keypress vs my Samsung - key example is the default app popup. Here, there's just 1 popup vs samsung which has 2.

Plus most included apps can be uninstalled.

Oh and the best part: it came with a free battery kit, 32gb sd card, 2 year extended warranty and still came out cheaper than the S6 by almost $200. That's crazy good.

Great to hear the positive feedback. I ordered my unlocked G4 H815 and it should arrive tomorrow. I'm super excited and taking in what everyone has been saying.

I will pretend I didn't notice it is half the price I paid for it... Try this one http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XRG66CK...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU4654960

What's the difference between the 818 and 815 versions?

I believe the 818 is a dual sim version, but I might be wrong. The 815 is the unlocked international version sold in Europe (single sim slot)

I'm also happy to see that the LG G4 is still holding it's own even with new, flashy phones coming out like the Note 5 and GS6 Edge Plus! They are awesome phones also but the LG G4 is certainly no slouch! I'm also looking forward to the Marshmallow update down the road!

I'm really liking the G4. Been using Windows Phone 8.1 for a while now and really like that OS. I bricked my HTC One M8 WP over the weekend and since Tmo isn't selling any WP phones right now I picked up the G4. Must say I really love the screen and the speed. So much better in every respect than the Galaxy S5 I had last year. It may be in my head, but my LTE seems to be much better on this than the M8 as well, especially in my office.

I'm actually enjoying Android this time :)

To me it's the small stuff like QSlide that proves to be so useful (especially the browser, phone and calculator apps). Oh and the rear volume buttons-best thing to ever happen to a phone

I also got the 334mb update today and after installing it, I must say that my phone is waaaaayy faster now, no lag at all. It used to have some annoying lag right after unlocking it, but right now, its all gone.... as far as I can see anyways... thanks LG!
