The Nexus 6 is the best android flagship phone you can buy.

Hard to say what it will look like... The Nexus 5 looked nothing like the G2 that its internals were sourced from. But the 6 is most certainly a Moto (which was Google at the time, so that muddies the waters a bit).

I would expect that both the LG and Huawei phones will have the same overall look, so they wouldn't resemble their OEMs style much.

It'd be a hell of a shame to lose the front speaker layout. That placement does wonders for sound quality.

Agreed 100%. After having those speakers on the 6, anything less would be a disappointment.

Agreed on the speakers , only now i was watching videos with the phone in a cradle ...sound is great , and I'll add the size, I would find it hard to drop down in size. Perhaps the next Nexus will come in a six inch and a smaller size.....I would hope so anyway.... I like others plan on keeping this one for a while..... Of course I say that now but who knows what I'll do when I see the next one.... Especially if it is a six inch

Thank god you guys are saying this. I am torn on waiting for the new one but with LG making it and rumors of it being under 5.5", I was kinda of bummed since I am loving the G3 but kinda wish for a bigger screen slightly. With Hauwei making the bigger one, I am thinking it might not be going to VZW. 64GB is really the only complain I have since I do a lot of movies but cutting them down to maybe a few instead of a weeks worth is something I will have to give up.

My G3 is alright but with VZW taking forever for new software, it sucks. WiFi sync issues, SMS/MMS not going through when I'm on WiFi, and maybe 2 hours screen on time ever since LP came out for it. I gave it a few months and still nothing. Rumors were maybe fall for new software and so on.

VZW has limited choices that I like. Motorola X was what I was looking at but only 32GB version for VZW.

I have said this many times before. But this time I mean it...I think. I won't be ditching my Nexus 6 anytime soon. I will keep it at least a year.

Haha. You and I are way too similar. I've gone back to Nexus. Tried the S6 Active and it just isn't cutting it. Too much lag here and there. The Nexus will be fired back up tomorrow. I almost went back to iOS, but just couldn't do it.

Strange thing for me is that I always go to the Nexus. I have had every one with the exception of the first one. In the last 7 years the longest I have had a smartphone was 5 months and that was the Nexus S. I like iOS. But for some reason Google and its bevy of services keep calling me. And the pure experience is what I'm happiest with. Don't get me wrong, I love Samsung products and I'm one of the few that actually likes Touch Wiz. Buy, like I said I usually return to the Nexus line because that's where I seem happiest. So, right now, I'm good. I don't plan on getting the next Nexus unless it is as big as this one, but you never know. I'm a phone junkie and it will be tempting to upgrade. I may just save myself money though and just stick with the Nexus line.

This is me exactly! Thankfully, Verizon is back in the Nexus business and I should be able to keep this one for a while. Of late, when I get the urge to swap (recently considered an S6) I look beyond just trying the newest thing and ask myself what I'd really be gaining. As of right now, there's not a single device out there (for my usage) that could offer any more than I have with this Nexus!

I love my Nexus 6 too :). I purchased it for the long haul, I will be keeping it for for awhile.I do have other phones I use. But my Nexus 6 is my favorite

Yeah, I've been on this quest to condense my tech and become more efficient with it. I went from just using the Note 4 to the iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air to my Nexus 6 and Chromebook. I think the Nexus 6 and Chromebook will win out. Between the two I have all bases covered and it is the cheaper option. I use my Nexus 6 as a smartphone and tablet. And the Chromebook for more work intensive things or if I want to consume media on a bigger screen.

I've had my Nexus 6 for about a month now and I definitely agree with Jerry. This phone is just pure awesomeness. It may not have the best camera or battery but the experience you get on Android on the Nexus blows away all other devices. I tried the S6, S6 Edge, and G4 this year and now I only have a Nexus 6. I wouldn't have it any other way.

My three favorites phones of ALL time (iPhones included) are the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 6. I'll be ordering the new Nexus as soon as it comes out.

This article has made me all nostalgic for the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. I'm looking to buy a Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 now so I can have the three best phones I've ever used!

Yeah nexus 6 is an awesome phone. Hope they release a new nexus with a 5.5 version and a phablet version in the future.

Yeah, Google keeps luring me in. I have tried some skinned devices and I just can't get into it. I really prefer the stock way of doing things and the bloat free experience. Plus, I feel like the Nexus 6 is much smoother than the S6 or S6 Active that I've used. I like looking at Apple, but I don't really gain anything by switching. I get a little better battery life, a little better camera, but an OS experience that I don't like. I'm a tech junkie, I'll be the first to admit it - but I'm also going to admit that I need to stick with Nexus and Android.

I've come to realize the same thing. Nexus is the way to go. It's such a good experience. All of those newer phones don't provide me with anything that the Nexus doesn't already do.

What Chromebook are you using? I've been looking for one, but haven't been able to find "the one".

The longest I've use a single phone in a long time was the Nexus 5. It got used and abused by me for awhile. The battery life on it just got so bad that I couldn't use it anymore. But it was such a great phone. I absolutely loved it. I'm hopeful for a smaller Nexus this year. I'll be all over it.

Ah. Good choice. I've looked at that one a bit. I actually went with an Asus Transformer Book Chi T300 that I got on the Microsoft Store. It was $499 with some discounts for a Core M Processor. I haven't got it yet, but depending on what I think, I may be in the market for a Chromebook to compliment my Nexus.

Nexus 6 is good enough to have me give up my Iphone 6. Smooth, big screen with no more typing mistakes. Google voice input is in the high 90's for accuracy. Added a SMS text app to use on my MacBook Pro and a Gmail counter widget, similar to what the iphone does. Having a really good time with it. Wireless charging works well on my 3 coil charger. So far, no complaints.
