Hey! I can't wait to keep my 9700 and grab EVO 3D. Just wondering when it will be released in Malaysia! Here, everyone is on iPhone or BB too! I love BB but I guess i going over to Androids as I love customizations and apps!

I think this phone is any reason for anybody to jump ship from a carrier to have this. Anybody on Sprint should definitely upgrade to this for sure. To me the only thing is the 3D, to me it is a total gimmick. Who...really is going to use the 3D, sure its nice but for day to day use the 3D isn't going to get things done for me. I praise this phone for what it's going to be, but i'd prefer it to be 3D-less

I don't know why people seem to think that the 3d part is something that's present on the phone during daily activities like making phone calls, texting, email, browsing....it's not. It's only there for you to shoot pics and videos in 3d and watch movies from blockbuster and youtube 3d. It's just an additional capability that currently no other phone on the market besides the Thrill offers.

If the UI was in 3d and it was on constantly and you couldn't turn it off, I would never buy this phone.

I will definitely wait for the reviews before purchasing, because the two most important factors for me are the camera and battery life. I'm hoping that the battery life will be at least as good as the Droid X. Anything less than that will probably be a deal breaker (being "a little better" than the Evo won't cut it). And I would love to have a camera on par with the iPhone 4. I like the Evo outdoors, but the only reason I tolerate the grainy, blurry indoor shots is the convenience. I'm hoping that there's one large, very high quality sensor in the E3D.

But the truth is, I am simply salivating over the Evo 3D. The 3D is a cool extra, but the dual core processor, increased memory, camera button, and the qHD resolution are the reasons I am obsessing over this phone. I guess being an Evo owner, I'd rather stick with HTC on the phone side.

But if the camera and battery on the Optimus 2X or Galaxy S2 are better, I'll probably leave HTC. Hopefully, they won't disappoint.

There are a quiet a few very nice looking live wallpapers in the market, but I don't run any of them just because they make the UI stutter or even stutter themselves. This, combined with the lack of space for apps on the Evo is enough for me to upgrade to the Evo 3d. I need more space and more power!

I also will wait for it to come out b4 i decide... I do want it but not sure if i can give u pthe keyboard of my Epic... I am trying to just use swipe to get use to touchscreen use ... If i can do this then i would probably hop on board...

Eventhough its just 3D for vids and pics , the possibilities of using it for custome roms and UI's would make it even more appealing (to me)...

Yeah, the top things that make me want to replace my Evo are:

1) Ran out of app space. The 512MB is total for apps and OS, so the true app space is like 300MB-400MB. Which is gone. I moved what I could to SD, but I'm at a point where I can't install an app without deleting something first, and the Gameloft stuff is strictly out of the question.

2) Sick of poor battery life. In the beginning, I used the Evo like a madman, and since I had spare batteries, I was cool with it. But I use my Galaxy Tab for a lot of stuff including video, and the fact that my Evo can't make it through an entire workday on one charge even though I'm barely using it just sucks.

3) Sick of the subpar camera. Outdoors is actually very good. Indoors? Not so much. And it seems like the pictures are getting worse and worse for some reason. I look at some of the shots I took when I first got the Evo, and something's not right now. And I would love to shoot HD video -- 720p on the Evo is occasionally skippy, but the audio is putrid. Even in 480p the audio is bad.

4) No native video codecs. This one mattered more before I got the Galaxy Tab, but the lack of native codecs and the need to use Rockplayer, which doesn't support 720p well or at all, makes the Evo an also ran in the multimedia department.

5) Skipping music player. I use Meridian for music, and it will skip on occasion. If I'm using 4G, it skips like a mofo.

6) Better Flash video. My Galaxy Tab runs YouTube and flash videos much better than my Evo, even if the flash can be hincky. I'm hoping the sheer horsepower in the Evo 3D will crush the flakiest of flv files.

Does anyone know if the battery dock for the Evo 3D is the same? By that I mean, I bought the Seidio 3500mAh extended life battery for my Evo and I would love to be able to use it when I inevitably upgrade to the 3D. Thanks!

I am so amped about this phone. the "OG" EVO 4G was my first entry in to the world of Android and I have not looked back. This seems like a worthy successor to the Evo.....the 3D capability is interesting to say the least, 1GB Ram, 4GB on-board storage, Dual core snapdragon, 2.3, the list goes on...I'm sold.....

Nope. The battery in the 3D is different. Wider shape as well.

i can't wait for the release... I am ditching the bb world for it...time to move on to something else..bbm will be missed

Me and my wife will both be dropping our Evo for this beauty. Sprint took away my yearly upgrade but that ain't stopping me, I guess I'll be buying 2 of them at full price!

I'm a current EVO owner and am anxious for the EVO 3D, but am also interested in what new WebOS devices HP is bringing out. I miss the elegant user experience that my Pre had, but I certainly don't miss the crappy Palm hardware.

I'm sure I'll find the 3D technology to be mostly a novelty, kinda like the video chat was on the EVO. I used it a few times the first month or so and not since. I know one thing for sure, the camera and video quality need to be much better than the first gen EVO, because when I look at photos that I took with the Pre versus the EVO, the Pre photos (and video for that matter) are hands down better.

Why the anticipation thread already?? WHY?????? It's still about 2 months out and it's already killing me!! I was #2 in line for the EVO but I'll be sure I'm #1 for this bad boy :drools:

If you bought your Evo last year, then you should still be eligible for the full upgrade. Go to www.sprintrebates.com and check your eligibility there. My buddy bought his in August and he's eligible for August 1 of this year.
