There are a quiet a few very nice looking live wallpapers in the market, but I don't run any of them just because they make the UI stutter or even stutter themselves. This, combined with the lack of space for apps on the Evo is enough for me to upgrade to the Evo 3d. I need more space and more power!
Yeah, the top things that make me want to replace my Evo are:
1) Ran out of app space. The 512MB is total for apps and OS, so the true app space is like 300MB-400MB. Which is gone. I moved what I could to SD, but I'm at a point where I can't install an app without deleting something first, and the Gameloft stuff is strictly out of the question.
2) Sick of poor battery life. In the beginning, I used the Evo like a madman, and since I had spare batteries, I was cool with it. But I use my Galaxy Tab for a lot of stuff including video, and the fact that my Evo can't make it through an entire workday on one charge even though I'm barely using it just sucks.
3) Sick of the subpar camera. Outdoors is actually very good. Indoors? Not so much. And it seems like the pictures are getting worse and worse for some reason. I look at some of the shots I took when I first got the Evo, and something's not right now. And I would love to shoot HD video -- 720p on the Evo is occasionally skippy, but the audio is putrid. Even in 480p the audio is bad.
4) No native video codecs. This one mattered more before I got the Galaxy Tab, but the lack of native codecs and the need to use Rockplayer, which doesn't support 720p well or at all, makes the Evo an also ran in the multimedia department.
5) Skipping music player. I use Meridian for music, and it will skip on occasion. If I'm using 4G, it skips like a mofo.
6) Better Flash video. My Galaxy Tab runs YouTube and flash videos much better than my Evo, even if the flash can be hincky. I'm hoping the sheer horsepower in the Evo 3D will crush the flakiest of flv files.
