The official "I got my Thunderbolt thread!"

Just picked mine up thursday morning around 1030 at the Cerritos, CA verizon store. Im coming from my Droid X, and since i dont have an upgrade, had to shell out the full amount. Which is better than the $750 price ad that best buy paper had. hahahah. And first impression, AWESOME!!!!! this phone is fast both data and using the phone with apps. Smooth scrolling, phone is very snappy! Very impressed with the 4g speed as well! Only downside is the battery. Friday there have been problems with this phone not getting 4g signal most of the time. It killed my battery trying to search for 4g. And i read threads about CA being hit with the disappearing 1x/3g/4g icon...but today (saturday) havent lost data signal yet even at my work area where i lost it pretty much all day. Hopefully the data problem here in CA is resolved!

Data (whenever i can get the 4g icon hahahah, but its been better today) i have been getting a consistent 10mb+ download and 12mb+ upload. Its like being connected to wifi constantly! its just awesome!!!!

Battery yesterday drained to 15% after unplugging for 5 hours. Light data use, medium text use. Im guessing it had to do with the searching for 4g signal. Today i havent lost the 4g signal yet and the battery has been better. Unplugged since 8 am this morning. Medium data use, facebook and email, medium to heavy text use. 8 hours until 15% warning came up. Its definitely better! But i did buy the extended battery with the new cover. Its not that bad as i thought it would be bulk wise. But definitely not incognito as well. But if i can get a full day use out of it with only plugging it in before bed, ill sacrifice the looks.

All in all, im very happy with the phone. Aside the battery problem (as expected for a measly 1400mah battery), and pretty much spotty data coverage here in socal thursday and friday, im very pleased and happy with the purchase.

Will post back in the upcoming week for the extended battery results.

Picked mine up this morning. I was in Disneyland when they made the announcement, and didn't get home until about 2:00 this morning. Since it was a family vacation, I was forbidden from my wife to buy a phone before we got home. Best Buy price matched my NE2 from Verizon, so after using the gift card I was out the door at $150. Pretty awesome so far, super snappy. No 4G here yet, but I'm tempted to drive up to SLC to see if I can catch it.

What exactly does NE2 mean? I'm a first time VZW customer and I see a lot of you guys mentioning this NE2 discount. New 2 year???

I feel like I'm the last one on here to get one. I ordered early Thursday, finally out for delivery today!
