The official "I have ICS" thread

I have it and am liking it so far. I am confused (or misinformed) about one thing. I was under the impression that Beats audio would work for music apps other than just the stock app. (i.e. Google Music, Sirius, etc) Does anyone have any info on that? I cant seem to get it to work on anything but the stock app even after the update.

I have received ICS in New Hampshire. The two stage upgrade went without a hitch. I do suggest you give the phone time to do its thing because after the upgrade the phone needs to update some local files.

I also did a battery pull about one hour after the upgrade. Everything works fine. I needed to log into some accounts as credentials did not survive the upgrade.

All is well in the world once again :D

OK xssing my fingers!

I didn't have to wipe. Everything stayed in place.

Ok so what if I want to wipe it. Should I do it before or after the update? Also, would someone be willing to tell me exactly how to wipe the phone back to brand new?

Unfortunately, that's a Sense 4.0 feature, not ICS.

Not sure why you would want to wipe before the update, but..

There are two ways you can hard reset your HTC Rezound to its factory default settings, via setting menu and via phone button. Just make sure to back up your data before starting a factory reset.

Reset HTC Rezound via Settings

From the Home screen, press MENU , and then tap Settings.
Tap SD & phone storage > Factory data reset.
Tap Reset phone, and then tap Erase everything.

Reset HTC Rezound via Hardware Buttons

Remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, then reinsert the battery.
Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER/LOCK button.
Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER/LOCK button.

Got it. Chicago here

Looks crisper, faster

One complaint

I HATE app associations, I want to pick which email depending on where I need to send from case by case

I hate it

The update completed for me. I was stock. Nice little visual improvements. Some anomalies in the "Folder Organizer" app; a few random bookmarks got thrown into my Internet folder. Much smoother transition when changing the brightness in the stock widget. I lost no settings that I can tell.

Just a quick message: got the ICS update this afternoon in NYC. Had to restart the phone 3 times for everything to complete and connect completely. Seems ok now.
