Probably so. If my math is correct, the countdown clock will hit 0 at 5:30 AM on 2/15 Eastern Time. That's 11:30 PM on 2/14 in Spain, where MWC is being held.

Yeah no joke. I'm assuming the phones that will be shown off at MWC won't be releasing till later this year so hopefully it won't matter, but we'll see...

Your time zone counting is the other way around. Spain is hours ahead of New York. It will be 11:30 a.m. on the 15th in Spain, and 2:30 a.m. here in California. On the bright side, it will be 11:30 p.m. on the 14th in American Samoa, so there will still a little bit of the 14th left on the planet.

Exactly what I was thinking. VZW/HTC are going to end up shooting themselves in the foot soon. A dual HTC snapdragon is right around the corner...

I don't understand how people can be so irrationally ticked off, claiming VZW / HTC are screwing this up, forcing them to buy iPhones, going to lesser quality carriers out of spite, lighting your grandma on fire, etc. Aside from the very small percentage of customers that are regulars on this site/forum, normal folks don't even know this phone is coming out, or again, only know via CES that it's out sometime in Q1.

I think the reason is exactly that, Verizon hasn't said anything. They don't confirm OR deny the rumors. They sit on their hands letting everyone speculate and do nothing.

Look at AT&T. The people looking at their "4G" handsets have known the release date, price, & what their data plan will cost for a week or two now. What do we know about Verizon's? Nothing. Because they have said nothing.

Some posters have said we would be angrier if they had released the date and then pushed it back. At least we would have known something for a lil while anyway. Verizon somehow managed to take a non-existant release date and push it back.

I've said it before & I'll say it here, for a communications company, verizon sucks at communicating. End Rant.

htc is like well verizon is dropping the ball, we are moving on to promote phones that carriers will actually release!

In some instances, if it hasn't launched yet, the OEM isn't allowed to advertise it. Yeah, it's HTC's phone, but in all-reality it's Verizon's phone. HTC made it to Verizon's specifications and sold it to Verizon, and they have final say on release and pricing.

Not to be one of the many.. But I may just get an iphone, I was sold on getting the Thunderbolt. Been waiting since November (had my upgrade since than) preordered it yesterday, but with no idea for a launch date now the iphone is looking better.. My gut tells me it wont come out untill March or April and I refuse to wait that long (I've waited long enough) I am going to do some research tonight and try to decide by tomorrow..
