Greetings Android Central Forum readers and others interested in Android Phones. At Best Buy communication and happy customers are our mission in life. I wanted to post on this forum to clear up the rumors and false statements that have been connected to our promise of an on time delivery of the exciting new HTC Thunderbolt phone from Verizon.

First, Did we take your 50 dollars and promise you that the phone would be delivered on the 14th? Sort of, you see we did pre-order for what we "thought" was a launch date of the 14th, but we never said that we would actually deliver the phone to you on that date.

Secondly, and here is the most important thing. Will we deliver that adroid yuminess that you crave and expect on the 14th? The answer my friends is yes, because at best Buy customer satisfaction comes first. You will definately have a high probability of speaking to someone at Best Buy about your phone that you will definately get when we possibly give you.

Lastly, let me put all these forum suspicions and rumors to rest. I have spoken to the Verizon Guy from the Verizon commercials and let me tell you...here can most definately "hear me now"...

I am almost 100% positive the reason for the delay is Apple.. Total bs to be honest.. Had the iphone not come to verizon, pretty sure the thunderbolt would be out by now, or by this week.

Alright people im finally off. I hate when we do all store close. It sucks. Anyways, like i said. I saw the inventory screen. It said the TB is going to be on sale the 14th. My buddy did hear about the delay but stated he hasn't heard about it and maybe it was some dumbass spreading rumors. So i still expect it to be on sale next week. In other news. I was ringing out an attractive customer(female duh!), she had lets call it a bigger than normal chest . Well she caught me looking and asked if i was looking down her shirt. After a stutter i replied, "yep". She chuckled and said it happens, then winked at me then left. To make matters worse, i had to deal with some gargoyle looking woman after. Talk about Polar opposites lol.

I think Best Buy is in for a rude awakening. Apple forced the TB to be delayed.

MWC... nothing to do with the ThunderBolt. They need to start shipping those units before they make the big MWC and CTIA announcements or Verizon will be in a pickle.

The bigger brothers (dual core) will be coming out and launching in Q3. Android 2.4 will be optimized for dual-core applications (like a mashup of Gingerbread and Honeycomb... bring dual-core functionality from Honeycomb to smartphones) and will be coming in April.

Yeah, this is worse than a soap opera. Release date #1 ... no release date ... release date #2 ... no release date ... I'm getting dizzy and less patient every day. Just for grins and giggles (cuz I know you can't rely on them for accurate release info) I stopped at my local VZW store today. 3 employees at the counter. I asked them if they could tell me when they'd have it. Responses? - this is goooooood and all of them were rolling their eyeballs like "Oh geez, not another one!" ...

Employee #1: Don't know.
Employee #2: Maybe late Feb.
Employee #3: Don't look for it until at least June.

How's that? Same company, same premier (I think that's the right term) store, 3 different answers from 3 people standing right next to one another holding up the counter cuz I was the only person in the store. Unbelievable.
