I do agree with you on if its one more week so what.

Its more a matter of principal and customer satisfaction. I know they won't care because of the *phone sales they will have too starting tomorrow.

Just overall weaksauce in my book.

I agree it sucks and is weak, but what can ya do? I dislike having to wait as well since I'll be out of the country till March 1 and I was hoping to have the phone for a week or so before I left to play with it.... but now I'll have to wait till I get back and hope the VZW store has some left (I want 1yr contract).

FWIW Notice that there is no official date, so it would just be what the reps said. I still believe that its coming out the 14th but everyone is talking about uproar and all.

I agree there isn't much anyone can do... but it's definitely very weak. Verizon and HTC need to take a page out of Apple's book. Don't announce a device until you have a date. To "preview it" or "leak it" or any of that other crap. Announce it and put out a release date. They failed as soon as they refused to comment on an a date.

I am sure we'll hear about it at MWC on Monday because some dumbass at Verizon/HTC thinks that Amercians care about MWC.

So because we live off all these rumors, they owe us something for not meeting a release date that was never released? How is that. Verizon has never given a date. It's all about one person or webiste says something and then it spreads. I can't for the life of me so how Verizon owes anyone anything. Once a date is released then that's something else. BB giving a date? Really, when for every poster stating they get a date, you get 5 others says something different.

Don't get me wrong I want this phone. But I wait reading, and sometimes laughing. It's coming, when.. Soon hopefully. However if and when Verizon says it's time. Whether becuAse of Skype, iPhone, or someone for got to pack the power cord... When it's ready it will come...

On the Verizon Wireless Facebook page a lady replied to a post about the Thunderbolt and stated "the reason for the delay is the Hotspot not working right" so thats why they have delayed the launch of the Thunderbolt

Her source is her brother who works for verizon. Just thought I'd throw this out here.

My receipt came with a htc bb papaer that has my appointment date (14th) along with many verbal guarantees. Probably a bad practice on bb part if they don't have the product in hand or assured that they will have it..

Do they actually talk to people who use their phones. I'm sorry but wasting my data plan for hotspot doesn't interest me at all. I'd try it of course but nothing to delay a release on.

Yup. They screwed Best Buy. No way a company like BB goes out on a limb and commits to something that Verizon didn't tell them was going to be good to go.

It's just blowing my mind that they would delay the phone over Mobile Hot Spot or Skype (if either is true). While those are both amazing features, a commitment to implement them when they're ready would have sufficed. For the few people that those two things are absolutely critical for, they will wait.

That's garbage tactics, IMO. If they push it back then it's not BB's fault and you aren't entitled to crap.

Exactly so from what ive seen in our system im sure were getting it before the 14th and it will be ready for sale/pickup

What astonishes me is that if it's true the TBolt was delayed because of the Mobile Hotspot feature, or any Software issue for that matter, that it has taken them this close to launch to delay it's release. If there is some sort of lingering software issue, clearly they have known about it for a while. Why bother giving companies like Best Buy the date internally? Makes no sense.

a guy I know who works at a VZW store said they received signage yesterday and demo phones as well

didn't say anything about stock phones yet
