The only people receiving this update are in the soak test.

How do you know this?

Re: The one about when I got the ICS upgrade (apologies to "Frien

They probably got it from the Razr Maxx forum where some folks said that they had gotten the update without being part of the soak test.

Re: The one about when I got the ICS upgrade (apologies to "Frien

I got mine (Seattle) last night. I'm part of the soak test...

Re: The one about when I got the ICS upgrade (apologies to "Frien

I'm part of the soak test and haven't gotten it. My wife ISNT part of the soak test and she got hers last night.

I got mine last night..soak tester

Wife's Maxx received it , definitely not affiliated with a testing program... stinks cannot disable LTE , at least the Maxx has a larger battery, my work RAZR won't last a full day on LTE , by the time it gets updated hoping for a CDMA option/ hack ..

Have you tried the app 4G Toggle?

People, people, people.

Location is irrelevant to the update. It is done by ESN only, and is completely random. You could be on Mars, but if your ESN was chosen you would get the update while someone else wouldn't.

Re: The one about when I got the ICS upgrade (apologies to "Frien

Fair enough. But there is information in randomness as well, especially if ESNs are originally generated totally randomly and not assigned in batches according to regions. It might be a false sense, but there might be some comfort in seeing someone in Seattle getting an upgrade to someone in Nashville while another in Seattle might go, "Damn, I might have to wait a little while because lightning probably hadn't going to strike twice in the same place."

Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it <g>

Location has nothing to do with it, period.

Pffft, I don't know about that...There was no way I was gonna cough up another 30 bucks a month to Big Red for intergalactic roaming!
