According to the HTC website, this is what the most recent update is supposed to "enhance":

Device Features
* Updated signal strength meter to 5 bar Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI).
* Screen Timeout issues while connected to Wi-Fi have been resolved.
* Resolved issue with Mobile Hotspot data stalling while multiple users are connected.
* Improved audio quality during voice call.
* Reduced forced closures related to the People application.
* Improved device stability reduces continuous resets.

Email, Messaging and Data
*Resolved issue with Task Manager stopping Mail background service.

I only just bought my phone, so I won't be able to tell if this update made things better/worse. But for those who have had the phone for a while...did you have the above issues? And have they been resolved by the update? Or made worse?

The OTA update has messed with my data speeds it takes abnormal amount of time for anything to load on websites and youtoube. That is with full 3g/4g signal! The only way to fix it and get my data speeds back to normal is to restart my phone and after I do that it is back to normal. I have to restart at least once a day to get data speed back to normal. The update did not make anything better on my Rezound that I can tell and it made things that were working great before the update act up. I would hold off and not install the update because it does more harm than good.

Mostly good. I've heard people living in a 4g area are getting slower speeds. Verizon expects over 20 million customers to upgrade to a 4g phone this year and they are trying to limit speeds so that every customer has a fast connection.

I saw that I can add a webpage to a RSS feed if that page supports it, pretty cool since I use doggcatcher alot

I'm sorry this is happening to you; that blows. I'm sure you've tried this already, but did you do a battery pull after the update?

Also, another option is to factory reset the phone - what a pain, I know...but then you would get the stock OS back and can test the 4G speeds again to see if it indeed is the update. Then continue to reject the OTA update as long as it allows you to? It's not the fastest solution, but may be worth the hassle?

You mean they're throttling speeds? I hear most carrires are now doing this for users who are high-demand data users. I don't agree with it, but not much we can do (and they know it), except to complain to the FCC.

I tried a factory reset to get rid of the update with no success the update was still installed after the factory reset and the data speed issue remains. I still have to restart the phone at least once a day to get data speeds back to normal. Do not install it I am regretting updating it! I have a warranty replacement coming because of a dead pixel in my current rezounds screen and I am hoping that the replacement does not have the update installed and if it doesn't have it I WILL NOT INSTALL IT!!

Did you do a full reset from HBoot screen, not a factiry reset from phone settings. Once installed, your stuck w/ the update unless you unlock, root and install a custom ROM. It is almost inevitable to avoid the update installing at your discretion, otherwise.

I understand the update is inevitable...you can only prolong when it happens by rejecting it. Hopefully, you can get it sorted.

Careful what you ask for from the FCC. Sometimes the fix is worse than the problem.
