The ringers... Good Lord, the Ringers...

Orion is THE BEST ringer for a phone! Been using it for the past few months actually! I believe its an ICS ring tone.

Well, they took the "designed by nature" thing a little too far, so everything sounds like something that came from a jungle tribe or a hippie yoga instructor :D

This is exactly what I was thinking last night? I wasn?t necessarily a huge fan of the nature theme anyways, but figured I?ll put my own wallpapers, etc. on it so no worries. I couldn?t believe they didn?t have a standard ringer. I?ll need to mess with it later and figure out how to get the old ringers off my Droid X? I think it would be pretty cool to still have the DROID notification on my sleek SGIII.

On another note, does anyone else think the ringer is way too LOUD even on its lowest setting? I haven?t gotten any calls yet (had the phone on for about 12 hours now) but just adjusting the volume in the ringer selection screen it is way too loud at the lowest setting. My problem has always been not having a ringer that was loud enough, on my DX and on previous phones. I was happy to see the big speaker and know this thing could get loud, but there seems to be almost no range the volume scale? again haven?t messed with it much but just wondering other people?s? thoughts.

Just got my GSIII up and activated yesterday and I totally agree. While trying to find a suitable alarm before bed last night, my girlfriend said "God! Did they make that thing in a jungle!?" lol. I was running MIUI on my DROID X and pulled the notifications and ringers from CM9. I plan to do the same here.

Thanks everyone!

I did a quick google search for android system dumps and found lots of different devices that were pulled and posted by Jerry, so now I have the EVO 4g, Droid 4 and Bla1ze ringtones and wallpapers to choose from for my device.

Nice! Try doing that with an iphone, lol!

Ugh, the ringers are AWFUL. Like, the worst I've ever heard on a phone. It's incredible how terrible they are.
I just pulled the sounds from a Sense 4 ROM from my Rezound. At least HTC didn't screw the ringers up on Sense 4.

Go to the parent folder of the sdcard.

Go to system > media > audio.

Now just use AndroZIP to copy them to a reachable partition from USB.
Excellent - thanks! I just followed these instructions to find the ringtones on my RAZR MAXX, and discovered a few that aren't listed in the ringtone settings menu!

The method I use doesn't require root, but still gets to the root of the device. get AndroZIP and open it.

Go to the parent folder of the sdcard.

Go to system > media > audio.

Here's the GNex ringtones I promised:

Pyxis sounds the most like a phone, but Andromeda also sorta sounds like ringing.

EDIT: If you guys want ALL the Gnex ringtones, notifications and alarms, just let me know.

the notification sounds would be nice to have as well, for emials and texts.

So let me get this straight, there is no Ringing To You tone on the S3? I think I might be returning mine when i get it...

I'm just glad that I still had the system dump from the Droid RAZR. I copied over a couple ringtones, an alarm, and a notification tone.

That's like returning it because you don't like the wallpaper.

Sent from my DROIDX using Android Central Forums

As long as the wallpaper is a rocking "VZW 4G LTE" splash of red, white and awesome, i will be fine. But no Ringing To You is a dealbreaker.

lol much?

Any chance you could zip them up and post? Coming from a Maxx, there are a few i'd like to use on the S3.

So I was trying to find a good ringtone. When "Midnight Picnic" came on, my wife said, "That sounds like an ED commercial." My wife is awesome! Seriously, go listen to it.

I'll probably make mine "The Trooper" again like it always has been. In professional environments, I have it on vibrate anyway, so I don't worry about it.
