Oh he said another maintenance update will be pushed separately from that to just address the Verizon bloatware issues.

BINGO!!! THAT'S WHAT HOLDING EVERYTHING UP!!!!!!

Verizon has put EVERYTHING ELSE on HOLD; the reboot problem, the shutting off problem, the GPS problem, SKYPE, Gingerbread, EVERYTHING...........they have redirected ALL of their resources to the bloatware issues.

Verizon has their priorities, they will work on NOTHING ELSE until their bloatware issues have been resolved.

I finally got the nads to root. But realised I couldn't cuz I flashed th Mr2 leak. I was so close! I guess I still can root but the instructions looked way to confusing for me..

You can use auto root with mr2, i had mr2 and it worked fine. Just follow the directions on screen.

I tried 3 times everything installed, sync drivers and all. Could not get it pass the step where I enter #1 saying I'm starting from the beginning. Yes I had debugging on, charge only and screen on. Not sure what I did wrong tho.

I followed the directions Corey posted using adb. It was pretty simple as long as you follow them exactly. Very pleased with results.

I was in the fence as well until I realized that I never waited for carrier updates on my Blackberries and was all the happier for it.

SO If I flashed the Mr2, I can root still using auto root. Can I also using coreys step by step method? Maybe I'll give auto root another spin. Then coreys way if still can't get it to take. Reboots aren't an issue for me since I flashed. I just want to be SUPER USER! Got shirt and cape made already and don't want the money I spent to make them go to waste. ~SU~

I was on MR2 and rooted VIA Corey's instructions. The first thing you have to do is flash a pre-release version which was exploitable. So MR1 or MR2 really doesn't matter.

I used the auto root method without issue. I had installed the leaked Mr2 at the time.

I downloaded auto root and HTC sync drivers using my phone. THen removed both from my media card and installed to my lap top. After I did that do I have to do ANYTHING with HTC sync? I didn't other then installing and opening it up to look at it. Reason I used my cell to download was cuz I don't have internet at home. I tether. Plus I had a good 4g and the download for both took only 20min.

What exactly does "all the bloatware issues" mean? Are they implying its all the bloat on the Thunderbolt that is causing problems? What are they doing?

I'm confused by this idea.

I feel your pain. I'm sure some one here is willing to help you.

I have no idea what they are doing, but they seem to be taking their good ol' time about it. :)

I'm also curious what this means by "all the bloatware issues". I'm assuming they're not going to remove the bloatware entirely as, well... why put it all on there in the first place? Not to mention every carrier puts their share of bloatware on phones, to my knowledge.

Follow the money, I'm sure it is the root cause - or the cause for root.....however you want to look at it.

I finally had a guy root and rom my TB 2 days ago and MAN i wish I would have done it earlier! I feel like my phone is from the future. The Sense 3.0 is where its at!!! If you dont know how to do it there are people that will remote your computer and do it for ya! It might cost for the simple fact that I'm lazy and dont feel like learning how to plus I dont want to mess up my phone. If you need any info to have someone do it for ya leave me a messege and ill send you his email.
