The S20 hasn't even come out yet, and I'm already disappointed...

I see no disappointment , looks to build off already great s10 . I've been using 90hz set always on for my pixel 4xl and 1+7pro and get 1 day to 1 .5 days with battery with 5 to 7 SOT and I'm heavy user .

Do we know yet if the fingerprint reader is the new and improved version 2, or is it the same one as on the S10?

Does Samsung devices have face unlock? And how is it?

I hear its supposed to be improved on from s10 but we see soon enough .

I'm not a fan of the S-series to begin with. The Note series of devices is what I am looking for if I purchase a Samsung device just because it will have all the features of the S-series plus the S-pen.

And I agree with you, the 120Hz display + 5G will be a battery killer. No thanks.

I don't know how you got that good battery life. When I had the 1+7T Pro McLaren, I could see the battery life depleting when I was using the 90Hz + 5G.

I have great battery life on my 4 XL as well with 90Hz always turned on.

To be honest, I'm not super excited about the S20. I'm just a Samsung groupie, who has to have the latest and greatest. They get me every year. Unlike many folks, I don't buy a camera, that just so happens to make phone calls and send texts.

I have my case ready to go. I'm not sure if I'm going to preorder this time, and that's something I've always done. I think I may let y'all be the test dummies, and I'll wait for the consensus, before I bite. My S10+ is still great, so I'm not really pressed.

I need to definitely wait till Tuesday, before I commit. I want 12 GB of ram on the S20+, or I'm probably going to pass.

I think the S20+ has 12 GB ram. And I think the Ultra has 16 ram. Who needs to that much ram? 12 is more than enough and 16 is overkill.

I agree. 12 GB ram is more than enough. But I'm not going to upgrade, unless it's 12...because I already have 8GB, and the Note 10 has 12. I thought I read somewhere it's not certain if it's 8 or 12. I may be wrong. I haven't been keeping up with the spec rumors.

How the Hell does one get disappointed when you haven't actually seen all details. The phone isn't even out.

Fair enough to have strong opinions once youve seen the phone. I think you've set up your self for disappointment regardless

Because i notice people who have been putting out leaks for years? And I also read and do research? It's not that hard.

That's true, also im a fan of the note series too..but now these phones are starting to look so similiar, i mean, is there really going to be a difference between the Note 20 and the S20 Ultra besides the stylus?

then you aren't using the phone to its fullest. I am more of a power user. What is the point of giving you something if you can't use it all the time without negative results?

Do you not understand a higher refresh rate requires higher power draw whether the choice is there or not? I for one would much rather have the option to run at 60hz and have longer battery life than get forced to use 120hz. Samsung is doing the smart thing and catering to both types if users.

Samsung introduced power saving options 5 years ago or more, have you been disappointed in all their phones since because it doesn't force you to run everything at max?

What about the fact the SOC isn't running at full capacity 24/7? It throttles when idle or the load isn't heavy enough to demand more. This has been done to extend battery life on any mobile device.

Maybe i am not explaining myself well here, but thats what I mean. I mean introduce it, thats fine, but wait until at least the battery can handle it without being so much of a drain. I remember having to turn off location, and bluetooth and my brightness and a bunch of other things just to get the best out of my note 5 and s7, I mean its nice to have those things, but if the battery isn't going to last, then whats the point? Now that batteries have gotten bigger and they have been improved on, I now run my phone at half brightness with location on all day.

And thats my point. Yes they can introduce it and I most certainly will want to use it, but I won't get the best SOT because of it, as opposed to not having it on.

8GB is plenty. I have 8 on my S10+ and 12 on my Note 10+
Can't tell the difference

People say this every year with every pending announcement.

I don't look at just one, but would you say that people like Ice Universe are mostly correct in what they "leak"

TBH, i don't even believe that they are leaks, i think Samsung does it on purpose..because if not, they have a huge security breach issue.

Thats exactly how I run mine. I just came back from Vegas and went to Red Rock Canyon for some mild hiking and all my pics were geo-located, something I never noticed back in the day because I always had my location turned off.

I get what you're saying but I also see what everyone else is saying that battery life trumps everything.
