The S4 launch was embarrassing but at least after all the nonsense they showed off the phone and it was an amazing phone. This time there wasn't anything to see. It was an absolute shambles.

Yes. It's weird. Why announce a launch event for both to the UK.
Supply logistics maybe to cater for all the US carriers before the iPhone 6s, I don't know. Maybe here in January, but they will lose a lot of 24 month contracts in the meantime, and goodwill.

I need a big screen but I can't fork out for the Edge Plus on a whim.
I do kinda like the edge panels on both sides, and I wouldn't miss the S-Pen too much, but that would probably wear off quickly and seem impractical.

I'm sure I would have used up my upgrade by the time next year comes. Maybe if we had a definite release date I might hold off but not on the off chance. Well aesthetically the edge looks nice but it lacks the utility that the original note edge from last year had. If it had all that functionality I'd get it even without the S pen. It doesn't even come in 128GB to mitigate the lack of SD card slot. Considering that there are 200GB micro SD cards that can be bought for a reasonable price. I don't know. I might have to get the note 4. Or I may just get the iPhone 6 plus. The last good phone Samsung released was the S5/note 4. All of their releases this year have been a disappointment.

I agree. I'm still thinking of the Note 4.
9 hours later, early evening in NY, and no explanation as to why. No forewarning to journalists. Definitely a shambles.

I was definitely bummed. There weren't any real surprises after all of the recent leaks. I was just really hoping for that removeable battery.

Gonna love my Note 4 for long time, apparently.
