The screen is black even on charge

I charged my galaxy note 9 for few hrs So i know of charging... However my screen stays black

Is the phone powered up? Are there sounds?

Force a reboot and check that you get the star burst circle graphic when it is charging.

Developer options allows setting to screen always on on charger.

Safe boot and clearing cache can also help along with it being a side effect of misconfigured settings and app prefs.

Welcome to Android Central! If the phone is completely powered off, press and hold Power for about 20 seconds to see if it turns back on.
