The screen is strong as hell...

Not something I had intended to test. My honor 8 accidentally flew out of my hand today and the screen hit the corner of my door frame as if I had thrown it in a rage.
Needless to say, I panicked and thought it was done for. Not even a scratch, let alone a crack of any sort.

This is amazing! I knew that phone was good but I had no idea it was also super strong! :)

I would say that you got lucky, since it was a single incident. Now if you could repeat it a few dozen times without damage, then that would be impressive.

I would love to be able to test it and get more results but I wouldn't dare cause an impact like that on purpose Haha.

I certainly understand. Though in terms of scratch resistance, it is on par with other smartphones, assuming that it is the same strength glass as the p9.

I agree about the screen. I dropped my phone 4 times from about 3 feet. Not that I'm clumsy, but rather a slippery phone mixed with a short charging cable equals a fall from my night stand lol. I've since used a longer cord to avoid these incidents. :/

Believe p9 uses gorilla glass, this has NEG Dinorex

That's interesting that they use two different screens. Just another reason as I stated in another thread about Honor 8 being different and unique and not following trend. What are the differences between these two screens if you don't mind sharing. Are comparable. I've of course heard of the first but the latter Im not familiar with.

OP that's awesome you didn't crack your Honor considering it looks like it's made to crack being that it's just a solid piece of slippery glass lol. Glad you avoided a nightmare man.

NEG is nippon electric glass.
There are some good demonstrations on their website regarding Dinorex. From what I have gathered watching them, the main difference is that this glass is flexible as well as being very hard so has increased shock resistance. Probably slightly less scratch resistant than gorilla though.

Thanks brother for the info on the the two screens. I'm thinking the second screen that is flexible sounds do be the better of the two simply for impact reasons. I good screen protector or tempered glass would cover you on avoiding any scratches.

Interesting, thanks for doing the research
