On Wednesday at noon ET, HTC is holding an event where hopefully we'll find out the release date and pre-order information for the M9. So I figured it's a good time to start a thread on ordering. I know I'll be replacing my Sprint M7 as soon as I can order the M9. I enjoy these threads as people rush to get a new phone before the general public. Have fun!

I'm sticking with my m8 for a little while longer. Even though I was planning to get the m9 all this overheating lark is a big warning to stay away for now. My m8 is updated to lollipop and soon they are goin to release sense 7 update and Im Happy with how my m8 is running, carnt fault its performance whats so ever. I'm hoping they find some way to resolve the problem with the 810 chip because if they don't then there's guna be problems with all the next gen flagships. Hate to admit this but Samsung did the right thing

I seen it at Tech Times, sorry I cannot post a link yet. Thanks.

HTC One M9 Announcement March 18; Preorder Registration Details Available Now For Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile

Link to the announcement: HTC Uh-Oh Teaser | HTC United States

I know I'll be tuning in. I'm not super concerned about about the chatter regarding extreme heat and the phone being blazing hot. I don't think HTC is going to blatantly release a defective device to the general public. If they do, they will have a lot of returned devices coming back to them. Honestly though, I'm ready to place my order as soon as possible.

As far as the "HTC Americas special announcement" I'm really hoping for the unlocked edition being available right out of the gate, and in all color options as I'm still undecided on that. Also @JasonMacHTC tweeted that there is a "Big Surprise" about the M9 for the US...what could that be?

I've just been to the store to have a look at sizes (as I wanted to see how the iphone 6 plus was in my hand to compare size for oneplus one)

And oh my, I forgot how nice the M8 really was in your hand, the bezels aren't half as bad as they are photographed, I just think the HTC One isn't a very photogenic phone.

I hope they sort out all of these problems so I can go ahead and order one

in Germany preorders are already open, so I have preordered a Gunmetal Grey device. Apparently the delivery date is in 19 days from now, on April the 4th.

April 10th is ridiculous, the puts it in direct competition with the S6. what the hell happened to the mid march release? I desperately need a new phone and i don't think i can last another month with my already failing S3

I'm glad HTC will have to go toe to toe with Samsung for profits/market share. Maybe HTC getting their[language] kicked this year will cause them to come up with a new design next year. Look at the M9 thread on any forums. For some odd reason the M9 doesn't have a great deal of fanfare. But in the Samsung forums there is twice or three times the number of people posting.

For a phone you consider is not getting a lot of fanfare. You sure are in this M9 forum trolling hard for people not to buy it and instead purchase a Samsung S6.

After having an S3 i'm never going back to samsung. heard nothing but bad things of the S4 and S5 and just ok things about the Note 3 and Note 4. Could care less what other people think about the S6 but its still a stupid move for htc to release that same day. I have no doubt the S6 will outshine the m9 on launch. [language removed by Moderator] is htc thinking i dont know.

I'll be upgrading from the M8 to the M9. I really have enjoyed the m8 and any camera upgrade will be better than the ultra pixel. I'm looking very forward to the release date and hope it's available on at&t on 4/10.

I'm in the same boat with a failing evo 4g lte. Disappointed they aren't releasing in March.

I hate to say this (and no disrespect to the M8 owners), but I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger on the M8 and decided to wait and see what was coming up. I'm pretty much sold on the M9 and just in time for me to switch carriers (I'm so over Sprint).

Considering the possible condition the M9 might be in, I would suggest you keep the M8 in your radar.

If the review on tweakers reflects actual end devices, it might be better to just get the M8.

I never said not to buy the M9 and to purchase an S6. Some individuals like yourself don't like to hear that there are other options outside of HTC. As consumers we can buy what phone won't overheat on us and get so hot that you can cook a meal on. Aluminium is getting played out. Try something new HTC. I probably own and have more HTC phones in my possession than you Neo. Fanboy much Neo905? Bottom line, I have the option to get my first Samsung phone.

I'm hoping you don't end up with the Samsung phone that is made of getting played out aluminium and the played out glass. Slick aluminium and slick glass all wrapped in a slick design.ain't that slick?

I hope you can BBQ with your George Foreman M9.

Samsung took a risk changing the design and materials utilized to build their phone. You can't profit unless you take risk. How is playing it safe working out on every forum for HTC and the M9.

Since every tech site is gloating about the S6, I believe more of us will be inclined to try it out.

Seriously, I'm not sure why htc fans have a problem with Samsung's material choices. Lots of people who've used them have been praising the build quality, saying it feels better than any phone they've felt before. David Ruddock of AndroidPolice made an article saying no other Android OEM makes phones that come close to the build quality of the S6.
