The unofficial 'I ordered the HTC One M9' thread

I ordered a silver/gold developer edition, I hope that is based off the AT&T SKU like last year, because thats the network I plan to use it on. Would have been nice of HTC to list those details.
 
Thanks, Telesales told me midnight tonight and I said online only or from you on phone and they said I don't know let me transfer you to Customer Care who didn't have a clue. LOL! He said you shouldn't of been transferred here but he looked somemthing up and said oh yeah you can Pre Register now and I said I don't want to Pre Register I want to Pre Order. I knew Telesales wouldn't be open at midnight but I was told online only. It's just the sooner I can get my order in the sooner we'll get them cause the warehouse is here where I live. I'm setting my alarm to get up at 9 am and will call telesales right away if it's not online. I am still happy to get it before the 10th. I am off Tuesday of next week and than I have a 3 day weekend off so I'll have time to play and set it up getting it early.

You should be able to pre order from the Sprint website tomorrow. Won't be in the stores until April 10.

On Sprint you ordered online? Can I order and upgrade and just pay $199 the upgrade price how much was it? I see it now 199 but it only shows 2 colors. I have the gold M8 I really wanted the silver oh it's the gold on silver cool that's what I want. Ordering now too

My email says this what does it mean? The processing of your recent Sprint order is pending for one of two reasons:
• All or a portion of your ordered items are on backorder.
• The items you pre-ordered have not arrived in our warehouse.
Does it mean that so many people pre-ordered I didn't get in in time? I doubt that since it just showed up on their website a bit ago. But my email shows all kinds of Galaxys and says if you ordered by this date you'll get at this time than my email says we appreciate your patience as many factors can dictate when your items will be available. If you'd like to choose a different device or cancel your order, contact us at the number below. I thought the whole purpose of this preorder was to get it next week well before April 10th. I hope it shows up as being available tomorrow. Why do the preorder now if it's not available? I don't get it! And my husband ordered Gunmetal Grey I wanted silver with Gold but mine says Gunmetal silver/gold

Who did you order from? I am hoping Sprints will reach the warehouse tomorrow which is where I live. I pre ordered and it's on back order they don't even have them yet. I'll call 1st thing tomorrow and find out.

We weren't due for upgrades and it was going to cost us to upgrade early. Turns out the buy back on both of our M8's was 10 bucks more than what we had to pay to upgrade early. So now we pre ordered 2 phones at the upgrade price and resigned for 2 years. I'm not leaving Sprint. So we still had to pay $199 per phone well $249 minus $50 dollar mail in rebate. But we loved the M8 so much we can't wait for the M9. We've had Every EVO the M7 and now the 8 and will have the 9. I can't wait! I'm guessing you had the EVO also.

I hope they do offer a buyback this time as well. I'm going to upgrade my M8 to the M9, but I will trade in my M7 for the buyback.

I do not think you have anything to worry about. HTC hasn't sold out of a phone since probably the HTC EVO 4G days. The only people that preorder to the point where phones will sell out are the iphone lovers and Samsung fans. A good measuring point is if you can actually log onto the website, then the phone isn't being preordered by a lot of people. Otherwise you would experience problems like people do with Apple's website. They just can't take the sheer volume of customers all waiting to order at once.
 
I wouldn't worry, my email from Sprint said the same thing, back ordered. They're probably not in stock yet. I'm hopeful Sprint will send the pre-orders out before it's available in the stores on April 10.
I'm not thrilled I have to mail in for a $50 card to get the price to $199. Just make it $199 or send me a check.
But even though I had second thoughts before pushing the order button, I know I did the right thing.
 
So 7 people in this forum placed an order out of how many Android users? I assume some of you are in the US or in other countries overseas. I'll probably wait until it's in the store in order to see it up close. For right now, I don't see myself making the purchase simply because HTC will have to bounce back from the bad reviews this year. They will go in a completely different direction next year from the M9.

Unless some of you want an M10 that looks like the M9. Why change what works? Don't think they can pull that off 4 years in a row.

Order placed with T-Mobile.com as an upgrade. FYI, they only ship to your cc billing address, and the initial default checkbox is USPS shipping - you have to manually select UPS Expedited shipping. both options were free for me. ETA according to my order status is Monday.
 
Just did an online chat with Sprint CS.
Lisa: We no longer have it on the backorder list so i would estimate by Friday at latest we should have one shipping for you.
Lisa: Sorry for the inconvenience.
You: No problem, so it's shipping today?
Lisa: As we have updated the report today it will likely ship sometime after Tuesday onwards.
Lisa: But once UPS has it they will deliver it as soon as they can
So it may have been today, but it looks like Tuesday.
Which is OK, because its still before April 10.
