Okay so first I am rooted SC 2.9 w/ EB01 Froyo etc...I turned on Pandora and about 2 seconds into the song my phone starts vibrating erratically then reboots. After it rebboted everything is wrong.

First thing I see is an error *#9900# "the process com.android.settings has stopped unexpectedly please try again. Then I notice the clock says 5pm and its almost midnight the date says 12-31-1999, I have no signal no data etc. Tried a couple re-boots battery pull and CWM restore nothing works!!!! Should I re-flash to stock and start over?

Try reflashing just the modem and then try to fix permissions

By vibrating erratically do you mean one long vibe, then about 5 seconds later 3 short vibes? I bumped my phone from SC 2.9.2 to the ED01 debinged rom and have noticed a lot of stability issues either when i first fire up an app, or if the phone is asleep and an app is running (dialer FCs, launcher FCs, google maps FCs, WWF FCs but thats not shocking). I just got the ED01 radio loaded (surprisingly easy) and then reflashed the kernel and wiped away the caches, and am hoping this helps. I might wipe and go to the community rom soon, but i am a touchwiz fan and was hoping the debinged ED01 would do it for me.

I had a forced close yesterday and after that the date/time went to Dec 31, 1999 as well. A power off and back on fixed it. I'm on SC 2.9.2.

I don't know if the same thing happens to me but when my phones vibrates it vibrates 1-3 times and all the widgets i downloaded disappear, this happened for me on ED01 debinged and even on the ComRom idk what it is any clue on to why it keeps making the widgets disappear, and by disappear i mean it's removed from the home screen and when i click on the screen to put it it doesn't give an option to put that widget, the only way around it i found is to keep reinstalling the apps, but it usually happens on a daily basis so it's annoying so did this happen to any body else?

I've had all my widgets dissappear once from a similar problem.. I went into recovery did a data wipe, wiped cache partitions and wiped dalvik cache then flashed the rom again, booted up.. downloaded apps and set up everything again. Went back into recovery wiped cache's again flashed the patch and booted up again.. never had a problem with it again. Not sure exactly what causes that issue, but that is what worked for me.

when you said you "flashed the patch" do you mean you downloaded the rom and the patch or just the patch by itself

I'm referring to the Community Rom.. first you download the actual Rom which is labeled Community Rom 1.0. You flash that one first then boot up after it complete's. After the boot up is done and you do what you need to, reboot into recovery then flash the patch. You cannot flash them consecutively without booting the actual Rom as this will cause major issues and require you to start clear back at the beginning.

Edit: Mind you that these are the "basic" steps, definitely refer to the original thread for exact instructions. Just be sure to keep what I mentioned here in mind. :)

Okay so i flash the actual rom labeled 1.0 i boot it up and download my apps, and then you said something about "wiping the cache's" which cache's do i need to wipe?

Landshark posted them, sorry for not getting into full detail, but I strongly suggest you read through the Community Rom thread as you will find all the information you need about flashing the rom, etc. Don't be afraid to take your time to understand fully as it can only benefit you instead of hurt :)

Yeah, that is exactlly what I ment by vibrating erratically :)

Tried that. No love. I ended up just flashing back to stock. Then took the OTA update (dont ask why). Tried going back to SC 2.9.2 ended up in FC loop. Flashed stock ED01 rooted. Then Finally jumped on board w/ Nitro's EVIL FASCINATE.

Finally getting back to where I want it. Uuuugggh what a fun weekend:) All while trying to deal w/ a million other things. Oh the life of a Fascinate owner LOL

But thanks DroidXcon!!! You always help. If nothing else you at least get my wheels turning.

Thanks man!!!
