A friend of mine just joined this Indiegogo campaign. Apparently, they released their USB-C version, although it's not clear how you get them. With all the cable chaos surrounding the 5X/6P, I read the whole campaign page. Nothing about compliance.
My question is - do we need a cable that shuts off when the phone battery is full? Doesn't the phone manage this just fine now? Don't all modern phones handle it? They refer to frequent mini-cycles of charging and heat on this site damaging the phone.

The lighting on the end of the cable and magnet seem kind of gimmicky. The cables seem very expensive and I have no plans to buy any.
