Are you sure? You flashed the correct zip? Try to redownload and reflash.

No matter what start off with a stock framework-res.apk and only fully decompile the apk for xml edits. Simple image replacement can be done by drag and drop. Alright I'm ballstired. I'll be around tomorrow to help out.

Thanks so much for this! Is there a way to make the custom dialers work that I am missing, or are they not included with the ports? I tried doing the adb push that I saw in the thread but it said file not found...I'm still kind of a n00b to all this, lol.

I did not add any custom .apk in any theme. However, I might post up some custom dialers since people ask about them often. Once I finish this stupid C++ project I have big plans in order for the Android world.

As long as you do not "re-compress" the file/directory, the .apk will not be broken and will not need to be resigned. An example of this would be using the 7Zip Archive Manager feature, and opening the archive and dropping stuff into it.

Not quite sure, but browse through the stickies on this forum. It has some information about that stuff, maybe you'll learn something useful.

A custom dialer might be just enough to push me over the edge to keeping nRom on my phone. I install it all the time because I really do like it, I just get it and then I have to stop playing with my phone to do something and can't take the time to adjust.

What app icon are you trying to change? I think you can do it with ADW launcher without having to do any apk editing.
