Yea I didnt really take much from that video in the first place. The instruction book states that the watch will not work if your phone is not connected to the internet for anything other than phone calls and text. The android wear device is an extension of your phone. Before all we had was bluetooth connection to have that data sent from the phone to the watch so they had to be within a certain range of each other. Then they put Wifi functionality in some watches and had the phone transmit that information through any data connection as opposed to just through bluetooth, which increased the range the phone and AW device could have from each other, but they must both be connected to a data access point(i.e.Wifi, cell network). All LTE has done is increased that range further by putting LTE in the watch for when no Wifi is available. The guy in the video disconnect his phone from the network by putting it on airplane mode, therefore no data can be sent to the watch at all. So when you attempt to "ok google" from the watch, it sends a signal to the phone and gets nothing back, therefore displaying the word disconnected at the top of the watch screen.

It's the top video. He shows a web pag that has the instructions. It's something about not turning off Bluetooth but just disconnecting it instead.

Yeah, bunch of BS. Nothing we don't know so far. I actually turned off BT on my phone for a test the other day. It takes sometime for watch to catch up with connection but it eventually did (even in my house where cell signal is extremely low).

I do find it like to sticking to H instead of LTE most of the time. But given the fact the watch doesn't support band 17 LTE that is widely used by AT&T, it is not that suppressing. But none of this would result in a recall. Something else is in play.
