There's a storm brewing...

As usual I did my morning google search for HTC Thunderbolt and found this story: Verizon HTC Thunderbolt or iPad 2: Decision Time ? Phone Reviews

It's a poll to see what Verizon customers want more..the TB or iPad 2. So far I'm only 1 of 45 people to take the poll. I'm sure now that I've posted the link you all will join in the vote (not that it will matter much).

Looks like TB nation is taking over. Current poll results:

I want the HTC Thunderbolt (90.0%, 323 Votes)
I want the Apple iPad 2 (4.0%, 16 Votes)
I actually want both (4.0%, 13 Votes)
I do not want any of the above (2.0%, 7 Votes)

They got my TB vote.

Good to see another Mass member here.
Hi Friend-O

I am envious of you Mass neighbors as you guys have LTE. We don't know when we hillbillies up north get it. A verizon store rep told me recently that Manchester (where I work) should get it this summer and my area should get it by the end of the year. Let's hope so ....

It's too bad Verizon probably won't even see this poll. I did the math and that $96,600.00 if the phone is sold for $300 for new contract and upgrades. That's probably just pennies to a big company like Verizon though.

Interesting, the banner ad at the top of this page (at least it is there now as I type). From HTC saying that you can use your Thunderbolt to enjoy MLB spring training and NCAA March Madness. Looks like HTC believes the bolt will be out in March.

Not to worry. I tweeted it to them and told them we know they rellocated engineers to work on 3G network instead of LTE and that they should find the poll shocking. :)

Bought an Incredible yesterday (used from craigslist) to fill the void until T-Bolt arrives. I was working with the BB Storm (POS) and just couldn't take it any longer. The Incredible is actually a pretty good phone, but I still cant wait to get my hands on the Bolt!!!

Yep. Use your HTC Thunderbolt to watch UNC win on the go. Seriously though. You'll be able to watch it.

But I'm not in a LTE area. I'm out in western mass. :'(

They (HTC) have been running commercials all along , they hope it will be out in March , but vzw are dragging their feet.

A user allegedly got a call from Verizon declaring the 17th as the official release date of the phone. But, as is too often, the thread turned into a flame war and personal information was released. So it was dissolved into a million glittery pieces.

That is correct and anyone that participates, instigates, or adds fuel to a flame in this thread will be banned without warning. My phones inbox filled up with so many reported posts yesterday that my phones battery was dead by 1PM.

So I would suggest getting familiar with this post and do some self moderation so we don't have to.

Do you even think anyone that matters will see that and that even if they did it would make a difference?
