I never said tiered pricing was definite. There are many options being considered.

Anyways, heres a video I thought might entertain you guys.

Enjoy.

I feel special, they used my commercial upload in there, it even shows my Dish guide controls like it did on mine.

even has the same "flicker" during the ad (copy protection)

No information right now. But thats a good thing.

That's not a good thing to hear. It's hard for a lack of information to be better than a presence of information.

I think he said it's a good thing because the longer they wait to decide, the more likely they'll just stick with the status quo for the time being. It may be that they may put a lower tier on the Thunderbolt to test out possible tiers for the other phones.

Remember the Verizon exec that said the Thunderbolt may give a "flavor" of the tier pricing. That doesn't mean they'll get rid of unlimited, it just means that maybe they'll throw in a lower data tier for people that aren't all about getting this phone simply for the internet speed.

You're correct, but you also have to keep in mind that the longer they wait to say something the less likely the 17th date will be hit. It doesn't matter if Dan Mead or Lowell McAdam are dead set on the 17th - if something comes up and they have to keep their mouth shut about it, that means they aren't releasing the phone on that date or marketing one week in advance.

Understandably we have to wait until this weekend/Monday before hearing anything about the T-Bolt because this week is about the iTampon 2, but this also means that VZW has a very short window for when they can announce the T-Bolt (Sunday the earliest, Tuesday the latest) before it can feasibly be released on Thursday.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZ... Pushing a vaporware device (and devices) and a barely functioning network.

The Spin Masters.

your screenname holds true..that's a bit of an exaggeration isn't it?

device exists as there are many videos of it in real people's hands. Barely functioning network? Really? It's a BRAND NEW network, give them some time to optimize it. If you don't like bleeding edge tech, stick with 3G.

Well of course it was an exaggeration, chief. But you have to admit that it's getting that way.

And to me, being unable to switch from 3G <-> 4G reliably is a pretty major issue. Wouldn't you agree?

I would not agree, because it was, not is, a major issue.

The Samsung Stealth was able to last a full day on LTE, so I'm sure the T-Bolt can (now) do the same, too.

My post was not about battery life or the perceived drain. The issue was that when you switched from 4G to 3G, it would have to hunt for that connection... so, imagine taking your current phone, shutting off the network data connection, then turning it back on. It's hardly instantaneous.
