There's a storm brewing...

Ahhh someone from NASIOC.... I'm going there more and more to hide from my growing insanity over this launch.

9k haha, I want to see someone memorize a thread like that and tell it to an audience at an opera house.. I need to get out more :(

They may need to use us as testers to see what phone LTE usage will be. They probably have no idea what average usage will be. If they set a 5Gig cap and 80% of TB users exceed that and those 80% recieve monster bills there will be people with pitch forks at there stores for real.

That's why I said earlier in this thread that more than likely what the Verizon exec meant by the Thunderbolt providing a "flavor" of tiered plans, is that there will probably be an unlimited plan and there will probably be a lower tiered plan. Kind of like how AT&T has their $15 data plan. Of course we'll just have to wait and see, but the less we hear, the better I think, because that means for the time being data will be unlimited.

The Incredible "now shipping" thread had 4,129 replies. If you guys think you have it bad, you should have seen the agony those folks had to go through waiting to get their hands on one.

We will beat 4,000 by tomorrow... and we have an entire week to go!!!

Anybody still a tad skeptical of Bennnnn or is that just me? I hope he is right/honest, and I'll eat crow if he's not. But I just don't know... :-\

Hard to really 100% tell. However I am leaning towards believing him. Maybe it's just the good nature person in me. Most trolls you can pick out fairly quick.

I believe!!!!

Even IF he isn't the "real deal" (which I have no reason to believe he isn't) there are more things that are happening right now that should lead us to believe that this phone is coming out very shortly (trying to avoid the word soon to keep some people sane).

Everything that I read states that your usage goes up drastically with 4G. This plan might not cover it. People may be in for a shock when they get thier bill and see how much that they have used and owe.

Operator Says LTE Subscribers Using 15 GB Per Month!: Tech News and Analysis ?

Very interesting...

One thing to keep in mind here is that your data usage will not dramatically change when LTE goes live. If your widgets only need 2 MB a day under 3G, then they'll still only need 2 MB per day over 4G. Same with browsing: if it only takes a few hundred kb to load the AC homepage under 3G, it will take the same via 4G but will just do it faster and then stop downloading, so your actual data usage remains the same

One of the big misleading things are those articles out there that say that you could blow through your 5 gig cap with 4G in less than an hour... but that's assuming that you are downloading full speed nonstop, and you would likely never do that. Netflix and Skype remain to be seen, but even on iOS Netflix doesn't chew through data at an alarming rate, so I'm not too worried.

Also, put me down for a vote of Verizon giving us unlimited 4G til June and using us an guinea pigs for 2 months in order to gather enough info to calculate how much data the average 4G user consumes in order to build proper pricing plans

Exactly what i was suggesting as to why they would give us Netflix/OnLive and Unlimited 4G to start.

remember how they said "Thunderbolt will give us a taste of what tiered pricing will be going forward"

I don't think he was speaking as if the prices were already set, i think he was speaking as if the launch is going to be used to give them an idea of what to set tiered pricing at.

p.s you guys gotta download that Verizon Thunderbolt showcase app, it has a screensaver thats pretty cool
