You forgot the last half of that sentence. HTC Thunderbolt 4G Facebook page (which is hit or miss) said the same date briefly before it was pulled.

Chances are the two sources lacking repute referenced the (fake?) Facebook page and told BGR about it, but we'll have to wait and see.

Like I said, while the 17th would be amazing, I am still not expecting the T-Bolt before the 24th just because I expect there will be a lot of marketing for the iPad 2. They'll want to ensure the T-Bolt gets demonstrated via ads to be VZW's new flagship device without being hindered by other ad campaigns.

Agreed. they do it to get some sort of "news" for their site I guess. I say, if you don't know anything official then why bother saying anything at all except to stir the pot and get the natives all worked up.

The 21st kind of makes sense; it will give them a week from the next possible day of an announcement (the 14th). Also, another weekend to do stuff with the network... but I have no idea what the heck is going on, so don't put any trust in me!

I agree. Because of the fruitpad, it seems like the 21st fits better for Verizon, unless they cared about their customers (that have been dying to get the TB) and realized that a tablet and phone aren't the same thing. Nobody that is going into Verizon to buy the TB is going to change their mind and buy a fruitpad, and vice versa.
