Yea my guy was sort of letting me know that I should be looking else where also. I told him that this will be my first android phone and that I wanted to start with the Sense UI for me and my wife and that pretty much killed his effort.

As of now, there is still no official release date. We're all still focusing on the rumors. This guy may or may not know anything. I want this phone as much as anyone else, but I'm not holding my breath for the 17th, just hoping it happens.

Yes, this guy does not know...well he does not know anything. But for whatever reason(s)....he is convinced the phone is not dropping next week. So I am still hopeful for the 17th but this is my first piece of info in my brain telling me not to get TOO excited!...because yes I was getting pretty excited.

I have to receive an original hard copy of my bill each month so I can expense it back to my company for reimbursement. They require that I send in the actual bill each time.

Maybe resellers won't get the phone right away so he was trying to steer you away from it.

I do, but T-Mobile has lost a loyal customer after a very bad customer service experience. Our family plan is moving to Verizon as soon as the Thunderbolt is released.

OK?.so I talked to one of the Verizon people that I have been in contact with. This is a sales guy who works for an Authorized dealer. I have written about him before. I stopped in this afternoon to check in, to see if had heard anything. He told me they WILL NOT BE GETTING THE BOLT THIS WEEK and he is very sure of this. I was like ?how do you know??and he said that they just know and in addition to no word on the Bolt the store has been updated on the calendar/timetable for the phones that are upcoming and he led me in the direction that Verizon is now pitching other new phones to be sold (of the 3G variety).
I asked him if he had any idea or if he had heard any news about when it was coming but he said no, they have nothing in terms of information?only that he was very sure it won?t be next week, and although he has NO idea when it will drop it could be ?months?. Once again this is a guy who is very rejected and pretty upset about it. Another connection to this that is interesting to me is that the last time I was in I was showing off my Storm 1, and he was showing me his old beat up blackberry. Today he showed me his new phone?it is a Samsung. He is a good guy?.and if he is reading this I would say ?thanks for being honest! I feel for you dude?!
So, I have been of the mind that the 17th is THE day. I have a pretty detailed plan on if the bolt is going to be the phone for me and the connection to my June contract date?.This is the first chink in my plan! I am not freaking out?yet, but this piece of info seems difficult for me to ignore completely.

I posted something similar to this yesterday. The manager at the store I go to said it will be a few more weeks before it would be out. Mainly due to the ipad2 launch.

iPad 2 has nothing to do with it duh, many places sell it, it's not a vz only deal. And as of today Ben says the 17th is still on track, you can't listen to vz people at stores cause they know about as much as we do.

I think that is funny they say it is due to the iPad2 launch, since all of the Verizon stores I've called today are TOTALLY out of stock and say 2 to 3 weeks before they see any if I want to order one... my wife wants an iPad2 (no arguing with the wife )

Of course these salesmen are going to tell you it's not coming out. They want you to buy a phone from them NOW. They don't want you coming in a week later and buying from someone else and losing out on commission.
