Best Buy is the only 3rd-party retailer for the TBolt. So I doubt they'll be allowed to carry it even if a premium retailer.

Wireless Zone is the premium retailer in my town and they are going to have it

Just got off with customer service myself. At first, he said he didn't know. I told him that a friend of mine called and that that's what he was told by customer service. So he did more digging, and CONFIRMED the announcement was made. It will be released on the 17th.

No special iinstructions for the VZ stores yet, it will be first come, first serve. He also couldn't give me pricing. But the 17th is the day!!!!!!!!

My wife works at the Post Exchange here and asked the lady in the Verizon kiosk in the PX hallway and she knows nothing yet.

This is the PX at Ft. Belvoir. The kiosk is actually inside the store and not in the usual hallway like a lot of the vendors. I don't think that makes a difference though. Anyway, I called 5 verizon stores in the area and none of them no anything about the phones coming in on the 17th.

I just called my store..I live in KCMO and they haven't heard anything. I told him there are reports of stores on the West Coast calling their customers about the phone being available on Thursday. He said he knows that when 3G first came out it rolled out first in 3G markets, then the rest of us so that could be true since 4G is available in the SF area and not here in our area. He said that they had a date of the 2/24 from Corporate but it was pushed back due to issues with the phone so maybe since that happened they are going to first roll out in 4G areas like some sort of test but of course he wouldn't really know cause he kept reminding me that theier store hasn't received any info from Corporate. He's thinking the end of the month or this Spring which he said makes sense to him because of the "thunderstorm marketing aspect of it," as he put it.

O-well..I'll hope for the best (Thursday) and prepare for the worst.

I think I would very much like to see a silent launch. I get the feeling that the stores aren't going to have much in the way of stock on hand.

This would give VZW a chance to get some feed back from us and begin a media blitz on Monday 3/21.
