yeah, the wording is key. They had a similar thing requiring the $29.99 unlimited smartphone data for the iPhone and people were able to keep their 150MB or alltel plans but the 4G LTE part makes it look like you'll need the new one.

They Tweeted the no pre-order thing. And yes, you're reading the official press release so I'd say that we get free hotspot until May 15th.

I remember somewhere that there was information from Verizon that got us all worried that when the TBolt is released we will see something reference the tiered pricing. I wonder if VZW is giving free mobile hotspot to see what kind of data usage there will be in order to figure out the tiered packages coming later on.

Well, spank me and call me Susan! I just got the call from BBY for the first appointment of the day on Thursday. YEEEEEEHAAAWWWW!!!!!!!

What happened to the "Thunderbolt $100" Thread??
I printed the ad, planning to take it to BB on Thurs..
Hopefully they'll honor it

Good question, but I don't think they have currently have a way to tell if you're data usage is coming from using it as a smartphone vs tethering vs hotspot.

Maybe someone smarter (maybe NCX or one of the mods) can verify that. I'm hoping that the info posted by NCX will allow us to continue using our hotspot after May 15th.

That is my theory. We are the testers to see what the average person uses. If there is 5GB cap and 90% of the TB users exceed that and giant bills ensue there will be a PR nightamre.

Interesting...my local store said they were expecting "50 LTE sim cards to be delivered tomorrow". I asked him what they were going to be put in and he said envelopes.

I do live in an LTE area...this leaves me with the impression they have the hardware in stock but can't sell until the SIMs are in there...especially since we are an up and running LTE area.

He also said they had to ship all the phones back to be reflashed (which we've all heard before). Doesn't seem very efficient, but what do I know.

NOW I think I can let myself get a little excited....

I would not recommend a mirror protector. Very hard to see in daylight or any direct light that shining above you.

I wouldn't recommend a mirror protector either. You had me worried that I had linked a mirrored one for a second there.

Maybe the hotspot feature will be free for now?
However, on the wirefly web site there is a 20 dollar hotspot option for 3g only and a 2GB cap and a limit of 5 devices.

I understood the Talk part (pretty obvious) and I only included it so the sentence could be complete. Anyways, so 29.99 for data includes 3G and 4G or it is 30 to have unlimited 3G plus another 30 to have 4G or total of 60 for 3G/4G. Thanks for your response.

29.99 for 3G and 4G together. 4G if you have it in your area and 3G if not, though you can turn off 4G to conserve battery (from what I have read on here) BMX posted that they were adding this or it was included depending on the build that you got.

Bennnnnnnn had mentioned a few goodies that this phone was going to be launched with like Google Music, and some other things. Any one remember what they were and if we are getting them on Thursday?
