We've been burned quite a few times by people who claim to know some stuff like these. I hope this guy is right. But I will only breathe a sigh of relief after I hear the official VZW announcement.... usually announcement comes on Tuesdays.

I agree ROOT will open more doors to getting those features back, but it won't change the bill...

thats the main reason i've thought of switching for almost a year now, them removing things that the same phone on another carrier has (well nearly the same) is complete BS, it shows there true colors, there against open internet, and open OS and open Handset alliance now too, if there going to do this to certain phones, they need to do it to all of them, including the iPhone or the manufacturers of said phones need to step up and not let the carriers control there product. Verizon only provides the service to make the device work, they shouldn't control what the manufacturer puts on it, YOU and I pay for the service, they shouldn't be allowed to castrate these devices into gimped devices to allow the iPhone better advantage....

From the rumors we heard/read, skype will not be on the phone and not 'baked' into Sense. Can you clarify if this is T/F and if true, when do you approximate skype to be available on the tbolt?

I'm interested in knowing since I really really would like skype to be able to run on tbolt (yes I know there's tango etc).

I agree with you. That is why I said I will have to suck it up since I want to stay with Verizon.

At least it gives us another glimmer of hope. I chatted with the online sales rep about a droid x just to get away from this ****ed blackberry.
