Actually, he said they would have LTE smartphones (notice the plural) out by Q2 and that is correct. They won't have more than one LTE smartphone out in Q1, but they will likely have one out (Thunderbolt) by the end of March. He is probably correct in that they will have more than one LTE smartphone out in Q2 (Thunderbolt in Q1, Bionic, Samsung, and LG in Q2).

So please continue to rein in your hyperbole.

I'm starting to think bennnnn is not really posting in secret, but rather is being told to say these things by his boss and other vzw executives. He's vzw's attempt to ease tensions in the forums, without making any public announcement.

That's my conspiracy theory for the day.

According to the info told to shareholders today, the Samsung Stealth and LG Revolution will be trailing the ThunderBolt release

Just read this on Droid Life....CTIA will be holding an awards ceremony for the best phones/smartphones at the trade show. Three finalists have already been revealed: the HTC Thunderbolt the Motorola Atrix 4G and the LG Revolution. TBolt must be bad a$$! Not even out and already winning awards....maybe!

I may be in the minority, but I choose to believe Bennnn. he has nothing to gain by lying to us, and wants the phone just as much (almost as much?) as we do. He is just sharing his excitement. The fact that he cant share the info means (in my eyes) that something good is imminent,

I believe he does work for Verizon, but I don't believe he is a financial analyst. He is quite well-informed for someone in that position.

I also believe he has much to gain from lying to us. I'm not claiming that he IS lying, just that Verizon would stand to gain more from the belief that this phone is coming "soon" than "sometime in the 2nd quarter."

And this notion that Verizon or any tech company doesn't care about the rabid technorati is laughable. We represent the bloggers and the early adopters and the people who recommend technology to our peers and our families and our friends.

But then again, I may or may not work for Verizon, I may or may not have had this phone in my possession for the past 2 weeks or so, and you may choose to believe me or not. It's your choice.

I think we can ALL agree, though that AT&T blows, and that some of us are waiting for the Unicorn so we can finally switch to a superior phone on a superior carrier with superior speed.
