LTE + live wallpaper + 100% screen brightness = battery explosion! But really I am starting to be optimistic about the release of this phone again! Thanks Be5n!

I have felt that sometimes "thanks" button is used like the "like" button on facebook. Maybe there should be some equivalent to a "like" button here too so that it can be differentiated from "thanks". Just a thought.

I know that's what you guys are doing, and I also know it's not intentionally being abused. I guess after being around here since we started, I just know how hard some of our members have worked to solve problems and help others members, just like in that thread above that I posted. So, not trying to be a meanie. In fact I had to fight to get that thing installed in the first place. There was a little disagreement over it. And yes, I have thought about the Like button, but imagine if your wall showed every post you liked. Would you like that? There's a share button above the thread.

A lot of vBulletin forums out there limit the amount of "thanks" a user can give out in a day... perhaps you guys could institute that if it becomes a problem

Yep. It's now 10 per day, so use them where people really deserve them.

I usually don't use live wallpaper ... and reduce the screen brightness....

auto-brightness: good or bad?

i've heard its good because it dims the screen. i've heard its bad because it uses more battery to detect light to tell the screen how bright to be. i usually keep it off (on my ipod touch *cough) and the backlight dim.

in other news. now that we're excited again for the 17th. whats the word on the "policy changes" bennnnn?

I personally always use auto brightness and it is really good for classes lol when the professor suddenly flips the lights, my phone isn't a beacon for all to see lol.

just downloaded thee showcase app for the Bolt, it shows off video calling but doesn't exactly show skype mobile. The 17th is looking like its a winner!

Looks like there were some exciting developments in the ongoing Thunderbolt saga today but I'm pretty concerned about the 4G pricing. I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that I've been waiting since early November for this phone and then I won't be able to get it after all because I just simply can't afford a higher phone bill. The sad thing about it too is that there is a poll in another forum asking people if they'd still get the Bolt if there are additional costs for 4G and 61.16% of the votes are "No - $30 is my limit" (as of this post). I can only imagine those statistics would be even higher in favor of "NO" outside of a cell phone based forum. We are all tech nerds dying for the newest phone that hasn't even been announced yet... I can't imagine the average consumer would be ok with paying even more than their already high priced Verizon service?
