I don't know 100% sure but a couple of my hardcore tech friends say it is the fabled scorpion processor, which originally was the first 1.2GHZ processor from qualcomm the FIRST to have LTE/3G support on one chip with the integrated Adreno GPU.

its still possible this could be another version of it thats only able to handle 1ghz

Inspire 4G i saw was overclocked to 1.8ghz (stable)
This device, before being called the Thunderbolt/Mecha/Incredible HD, was leaked as the HTC Scorpion (after the rumored processor) back in August/September, so that makes sense.

However, according to the table in the Wikipedia page, all the various Snapdragons have been Scorpions. The T-Bolt processor also seems no different than that in the Inspire/myTouch 4G except the radio.

Not necessarily a bad thing because those processors are very powerful. Like you said, 1.8 GHz OC on the Inspire - that's insane.

How bout we feed the troll instead.. Im sorry you dont find value in anything I say.. but look at it this way every time you click on the link.. a unicorn gets his horn..

Help the unicorns please...

If people think you're trolling or trying to get you're ego stroked, then why do they bother reading your posts?

I'm not going to say you're a god or anything, but I've enjoyed some of the thoughts/insights that you and Bennnnn have shared. If people are going to take what you say as Gospel, they're in trouble because you aren't the final decision makers on when these things roll out.

All you can do is share what you know at the time and people should take that as a data point of where a device is in the process.

Thanks all the same.

That's how I took it too. Guess we'll never know. Oh well.

Yeah, with that much power, who needs a dual core?

I think HTC might unlock its full potential like it did with unlocking other parts of hardware on the Desire / NEXUS ONE / Droid Incredible / EVO 4G.

It had Wifi N locked due to battery concerns, then when froyo came, it released the Wifi N lock

I can only hope that what HTC is saying about "the phone after your dream phone" is truly this little gem of a processor, its powerful enough to overtake the Bionic and run circles around it if this is TRULY the Scorpion that was leaked a few years ago.

HTC has on the product page that Bluetooth 3.0 when available (meaning as in an update will enable it i assume)

on another note, i think you and i and a few others are the only ones here that have ever heard of the Scorpion

I don't want to feed the trolls. You and Bennnnn are the only ones I trust here.

we have a winner!! that is the final time I will speak about this device until after release..

at which time I will of course do as I always have and help those that buy it to fully enjoy it and the LTE network that is powering some of the amazing things people will do on this device.

as for the toggle, it depends on what testing firmware you are running some devices do and some dont... retail units will have it either through built in or app installed..

its been real... See you all after launch..

THANKS BMX

I'd click "THANKS" but i seemed to have used too many this day

I really would like a "LIKE" button....

Launch is either close or we wont see BMX for a while :)

I suppose the build up of the phone was so huge that the release announce must be equally as dramatic.
