He told me to go on the website and enter my email address. I explained I did, already (he did too!). he said they usually know a week before the release date about the phones.

I believe what he meant to say is that you usually get an email a week after the release. Nobody really knew that the Droid 2 was going to get released when it did either.

sure you did, and they also did preorders on it and mine was delivered the day before it was sold in the vzw store

"Eff" isn't a word in the dictionary, did you mean "heffer?" Also, you should remove one of the two periods at the end of the second sentence.

Score: B-

"Eff" is an onomonopea for the letter "F," an abbreviation for another vulgarity banned on the forum. Such facetious language sets the post up as being casual in tone; thus the partial ellipse is both permitted and understood not to have the connotation of deeper pensiveness and melancholy. Also, "heffer" isn't a word either. You're thinking of "heifer.'

This is why we don't talk about grammar. When you exit the realm of grammatical perfection, the rules go completely bonkers. The phrase "Can I go to the bathroom" is grammatically correct, as is ending and starting sentences with prepositions.

17th is still looking good guys. We're sure to hear an announcement very soon ;)

Announcement via commercial, social media update, or article?(I ask because I hear rumors of them not able to get a commercial spot unless in advance)

If the 17th is date then what would be the mostly likely day of announcement?

He doesn't know, we don't know. It's all speculation.

not sure if this been posted yet or not found it on twitter

Here is what Panda said about this pic when I asked him about it in early Feb:

should be tomorrow, and your best bet is to look back on AC

It was two separate ideas. He sounded skeptical about the release on Thurs, because he knows the date a week in advance.

Wow. I was messing with you and even placed a spelling mistake on purpose to kind of tip you off, but you took a totally different direction :/

In other words, you're living up to your forum name, lol.

because they make announcements on tuesday

I keep hoping it would be today. I would for once like to see something concrete related to this phone.

I have the moment envisioned in my head... I refresh Verizon's website to see the thunderbolt on the front page with a press release attachment to a news conference, "Verizon CEO's announce launch date for HTC Thunderbolt, March 17". Further down in the article, "When asked about plans and pricing for the 4G LTE device, the Verizon CEO responded 'As of now, we are focused on releasing the product with the current plan structure to make the transition to the new network seamless for our customers, and to entice other customers to try our LTE network, with tiered pricing structure to come in the summer, as previously announced'".

If only we lived in such a world.
