I keep hoping it would be today. I would for once like to see something concrete related to this phone.

I have the moment envisioned in my head... I refresh Verizon's website to see the thunderbolt on the front page with a press release attachment to a news conference, "Verizon CEO's announce launch date for HTC Thunderbolt, March 17". Further down in the article, "When asked about plans and pricing for the 4G LTE device, the Verizon CEO responded 'As of now, we are focused on releasing the product with the current plan structure to make the transition to the new network seamless for our customers, and to entice other customers to try our LTE network, with tiered pricing structure to come in the summer, as previously announced'".

If only we lived in such a world.

You should write a launch announcement for Verizon, email it to them, with a note that reads "next letter will have anthrax in it if this isnt announced as followed: " hahaha (just kidding btw, for those of you who cant take a joke....

These announcements generally come in the form of a press release. Your best bet is to keep a close eye on:

news.vzw.com

You may actually see if quicker if you go to the VZ page of yahoo finance or google finance where you will see it the minute it hits the news wires:

I highly doubt it will hit Twitter or FB before a press release goes out. This is a high-profile launch and for VZW to announce it through social media would not meet the SEC's requirements to disseminate material non-public information through widely available sources.

This seems highly unlikely. I think the tiered data will go something like this:

VZW: Here's your phone and contract to sign
us: What's the data rate
VZW: Well, we don't know yet
us: Huh?
VZW: We're still figuring the rate structure out, but here's your phone. We'll let you know how much the data will cost on your first bill. If we haven't figured it out by then, we'll just put it your first two months on your second bill.
us: Well, it is the Thunderbolt. I'll take it.
VZW: Just remember, after 14 days your stuck no matter what ridiculous data plan we come up with.

Today I sent my daily text. At 1:31pm he sent me this text, "Of course I have heard something. We can do it Thursday."
