For those wondering about skype and video calling that is still being finalized and should be avail within the coming weeks. They are close so expect it very soon... qik tech for video compression hicups are being ironed out to ensure the service is up to par with wired video calling solutions.

Wouldn't highlight the new network if video calling only worked on wifi.... would it Jobs?

Can someone tell me if I can get this phone being the secondary line of a family plan? Someone said this could only be activated by the primary line. If I waited 4+ months for a phone I can't even get I'm going to be sick.

About BB's buy back program. I called my BB when the free buy back was about to expire and there was no sign of the TB. Went straight to the store's general manager and he promised me that he would give me the program for free no matter when the phone dropped. Fast forward to this week. I am out of town and nowhere near my BB. Called them and they said to go ahead and buy the phone where I am vacationing and then when we get back I can "return and rebuy" the phone through them and they would enroll me in the free buy back. I know BB takes a lot of heat for being a a pain in the arse, but in my situation they have been fabulous. Went to another BB near me last night and pre-ordered through them and I hope to be good to go on Thursday.

The scary part right now, is many BB AND VZW store dont even know if they will have any stock on Thursday. I'd planned on taking the morning off work to pick up the phone, but as of last night the VZW store didn't even think it was going be released on Thursday. That leaves having the shipments arrive either today or tomorrow. I know there is some concern about using wirefly, BUT at least I'd be in the Q for the phone. I've aready done the research and understand the pros and con of using them.

I was going to wait for a week before getting the TB, but worry that they could run out.

Listening to news last night, and they talked about one of the key cell phone display manufactures was destroyed in the Quake/tsunami. Because of this new cell phones could be limited in the coming months.

As long as ONE of your phones on your family plan is eligible for an upgrade, they can transfer it to any number on your plan. I have 5 lines on my plan, and have transferred upgrades several times.

if you are eligible for an upgrade on your contract (i.e 20 months in) you will have no issues getting the phone for the $249.

The primary line only was eligible for the annual review and NE2 credit (both of which went out the window in Jan, and can be used one last time)
