These speeds are absolutely ridiculous.

Well, a few quick thoughts.

How long has this been going on for? What level of DSL service are you actually paying for? Have you also tried SpeedTest using Georgia Tech as a server? They're one of the best places in the U.S. to check with because they have a ridiculously huge, fat pipe going into that place.

Bear in mind that DSL is much slower than Cable, and that you're also much more limited by physical radius distance from the Central Office. So, the further out you go, the slower it gets.

You might want to check in your area to see if Verizon's FIOS (or someone else's equivalent service) is available, because they're charging starting in the typical cable Internet range and giving significantly faster-than-cable performance.
