They've forgotten about the Incredible!

How come the Incredible has been forgotten about?

No accessories
No desktop dock
No windsheild dock
No OTA update for the screen grounding issue

EVO 4G has all of those items

What gives???

Actually last week when I was in a Verizon Store to get a case and screen protector, I was looking around and I saw a windshield for the Droid Incredible. It was $29.99 but I didn't get enough time to look more closely at it so I don't know many details on it.

Precisely. Can't sell something you don't have. Furthermore, VZW is offering people a chance to change their order to a Moto X if their Inc is on back order. Its not sold til its in your hands. So no, the Inc is not selling.

technically, its sold once you pay for it, just like a pair of pants you order from a website. your credit card gets charged when you buy it, not when the product gets to your hands.

Not to make this argument even murkier, but a lot of companies don't chege you until it has actually shipped. Therefore the item is not sold until it ships.

Actually, Big Red had no problem "charging" me when I ordered mine online. It actually annoyed me that they took my money right away and I had to wait three weeks for the phone. I thought it was standard practice to actually charge the card when the item ships, but that isn't the case with Verizon.

No, this misses the point. If the phone hadn't been selling....they would have plenty in stock...and there would be no back order.

Such as bad example. If possibly getting a refund or exchange is considered not a sale then nothing is ever sold.....car sales and phone sales are nothing a like.

VZW's current #1 phone isn't. (Note I said current since Droid X will oust Incredible)

It's barely selling, are you kidding me.... they can't keep any in stock... it the best selling phone that VZW currently has. Yes, there are production issues, they didn't expect the demand to be this great.

+1 Would like to see accessories for this thing... I'm just at the end of my 30 days. Don't know if I can change it or not tomorrow, but if I can I may go with the X just because it's got a charging dock available...

Did I not say they were a little different? To say they're nothing alike is pure ignorance. And yes if something is refunded it is not sold. Its taken off the books. Not everything is refunded. If everything was not sold and refunded you wouldn't have your little fancy computer to type on now would you? Try not to over exagerate too much. You sound desparate. If you don't agree that's fine. Now, back on topic, technically speaking yes the Inc is selling. Wether it sold 1 or 100 its at least selling something. All I was trying to say was IMO its not selling well and could sell better without the backorder.

That is correct, and in a sense that could be the FedEx man in this instance. However once your credit card, or consent to charge your account, is made the sale is final. They grant you a 30 day window to return it if you aren't happy, and by some of you guys reasoning that means the phone isn't sold till after the 30 day window. We are all arguing the same point just from a different angle. The sale is final once you make the commitment to some people to other it's not.

I don't think the forgot about it, I think that the android market is just growing that much faster now that things are being produced at a rate where they are coming out at a pace where the attention just switches from one product to another very fast.

If we want to keep going on totally anecdotal evidence, I'd say it's a pretty popular/well-known phone.
