Things You Don't Like About The 6P?

Figures just my luck :'( every other little nuance I can live with but trying to pull down spreadsheets or PDF files when not on WiFi or LTE is tedious at best.... Hopefully someone figures out a fix for this issue.
AT&T nor Huawei nor Google CS Team were of any help

This one may be only with AT&T users -- From what I have seen. On T-Mobile I sit on LTE the whole time.

I wonder if it has to do with calls. Such as do you notice it being stuck on H after you make a call? If I recall correctly VoLTE for the 6P isn't working with AT&T right? That is my only idea as to why it gets stuck is due to the drop back.

No not specific to calls, I can be driving get to a light check email and see full bars and H (in a known AT&T LTE area)which means no downloading of files. 10 minutes later I stop in a rest area and I am back at LTE so there is no rhyme or reason to its fluctuation.
Today I am at the office which is a full bar AT&T LTE area (I can see the tower from my office) and I am on H, toggle airplane mode still on H, toggle from LTE to H and back still on H ... I am stumped

No. I don't want a tablet. I want a larger phone. 5.7" is too small, 6 or 6.1" would be fine. Believe it or not, not everyone wants a 5" phone.

Just a few years ago a 5" display was considered huge. Now 5.7" is considered too small. Boy, have the times changed. In a few years there would be mini versions of phones at 6".

Google Nexus 6P

Yes times have changed. Obviously people want phablets, the note 5 and iPhone 6+ are selling very well. Hopefully the next nexus at least goes 6", anything smaller would be a let down.

1. Persistent black navigation bar and white notification bar icons (I prefer how Samsung makes them slightly tinted depending on the bar color)
2. Power/volume buttons placement
3. Huge top and bottom bezels.

And this item right here:

Fixes the no IR blaster issue for 95% of people. Heck this is even better than having it on the phone! Unless of course you are wanting to run through multiple different rooms. 100 bucks is pricey unless your setup is like mine and all of your IR controlled devices are in the same room.
You assume it's to control someones home system. The primary use of the IR emitter on my Samsung Galaxy was turning off or turning down the volume on irritating TV **** no one wants to listen to but for some reason the doctors office, hotel lobby, or a restaurant insists on blasting :D. No, I don't use it in sports bars or places where people go to watch TV, that would be being a jerk :D. I miss that feature badly.

Your advice is interesting. Could you explain why you think it is a bad idea? Genuinely interested.

My only complaint is the phone gets hot when playing games, or watching video, or just doing anything in general - with the brightness cranked up. Especially with the silicone case on (coz lack of heat dissipation and all that). I worry if the glass housing the camera module would crack due to the heat. I also wonder if the dbrand skin that I have ordered will help / hinder with heat dissipation once I apply it. Other than that, I'm very happy with normal day to day use. Doesn't seem likely, but do I have a bad unit?

Interesting. I wonder if it's cause you crank up the brightness. I typically keep it as low as possible, with black wallpaper and dark backgrounds when possible, and very rarely experience any heating issues.

The furthest I'll push it is with an hour of gaming or Netflix, but still no noticeable heating.

Would have really liked to be able to wake it up by double tapping on the screen. Other than that, not much more I can ask for.

I agree. I'm really missing the double tap to wake. It's just so handy and practical.

I saw you can enable it if you're rooted but I have no interest in rooting my phone so gonna have to get used to not having that feature :/

Or install one of many non root app solutions that's give you a wave to wake capability via the prox sensor.

Yeah I think it's the brightness too. The automatic sensor sometimes dims the brightness way too low, so have to increase it manually. Those times I go overboard I guess :P

Things I dont like about the 6P (having just bought one and then returned it 10 days later):

1. No wireless charging
2. No sd card slot
3. Doesn't sit nicely in the hand, too hard & angular(much better once it had a Nilkin case on it).
4. Headphone socket would appear to not conform to normal android specs. (many headsets/headphones dont work or the controls don't work even when they're specifically for android) e.g. Xiaomi Piston 2's
5. Dodgy biuld quality, one of the reasons mine went back was phantom touch issues on the display.
6. Rip off pricing in many countries outside of the U.S.
